I dont think they were the biggest point spread favorite ever to lose a SB.

that's what happens when your QB is sacked 5 times, knocked down 10+ times, and never is allowed any comfort. offensive line got outplayed, the defense did their job, they allowed 17 points, obviously they couldnt seal the deal at the end but what more could they have done. the pats offense could not get anything going because of the lackluster performance by their offensive line, i know its a team game but those guys on the offensive line really let Tom down.
its surprising to hear people think brady choked, he did everything like he normally does, only his protection wasnt there, anytime he had Moss wide open he was hit as he was throwing or pressured into an off tempo throw. when he had time, he led them to points.
oilers choke to bills
ravens choking it away to patriots 2007 worse than this
this SB was not much of a choke imo

No, he did not do everything like he normally does. He had at least 5 passes that could only be defined as grossly inaccurate even when he had plenty of time to throw, and he played with seemingly zero passion until the 4th quarter rolled around. I'm not sure if it had something to do with his health, but he was lackluster to say the least.

Refresh my memory - what exactly happened in that series?![]()
Tough to call the Patriots' performance in this Super Bowl the biggest choke ever when the Giants outplayed them and deserved to win. Sure, Brady missed a few throws he regularly makes, Samuel missed an INT on the Giants' last possession that would have sealed the win, and if they wrapped up Eli on the miraculous Tyree completion they would have won, but the Giants simply played better. NE couldn't stop NYG's pass rush most of the game, and the Pats were the beneficiary of a fluke INT in the 2Q that would have resulted in at least a FG (maybe a TD if Smith held on and the drive continued). I think this was more a result of what the Giants did do, not what the Patriots failed to do, which is why I certainly wouldn't categorize this as a "choke."

We saw a different game. His offensive line was dominated, he was not able to get into a rhythm because he was never able to get a clean release. The few instances which he was able to scan the field relatively untouched his pressure failed at the very last second and if you noticed one play he even under-threw a wide open Moss by about eight yards. that has nothing to do with him making a bad play, his throwing motion was interrupted and he could not get clean releases. The second TD drive his protection was slightly better but he was also releasing the ball a lot quicker, the way I saw it, if someone is to blame it was the lackluster offensive line and the inability of Josh McDaniels to adjust in his play selection.
No choke
Giants kicked the crap out of them

Not the biggest spread but with the perfect season on the line and getting beat by the worst seeded team to ever go to the SB - definately.
Ha Ha cheating pricks!
