Default Kobe offense vs Tayshaun defense? Who do you people pick?

Tomorrow is a big game is the NBA. Kobe and Tayshaun match up once again. Since Tayshaun been in the league he always shuts down every major star from McGrady to Kobe. The Kobe factor will be no factor tomorrow, TAY is just way to big and long and keeps Kobe honest at best. You know Kobe will try to big his A to no effect. Even if Kobe does blow past Tay, how in the world is he going to shoot over Ben and Sheed.

I will pick the Lakers with the the 8 point spread tomorrow. If Kobe proves me wrong and scores 50 against Detroit Defense then hands down he is the MVP. If not the MVP should go to Mr. Billips.

What do everyone think about this?

the one thing i don't do is bet against detriot this year. that team is just brutal when you bet against them.

now moving on to your question. if any team can stop kobe's offensive skills, it will be detriot.

If the line were Detroit-20.5 then I might think twice about putting money on the Pistons. The Pistons have become so automatic that they are considering changing their name to The Federers.

I think that is the only team, I believe the most important player on that team, is hands down Tayshaun, they put him against the best players night after night and nobody and I mean nobody can figure Tayshaun out. Looks like a tall thin straw that is always in your face.

Well the way Kobe throws shots up, and they just seem to find the hoop. Tayshaun could have a good defensive possesion against him and its all for not when Kobe throws up a shot with him all over him and it drops in. So its hard to say, if Kobe's prayer shots arent answered, then Tayshaun should get the best of him.

Kobe can get the all world press from the media, however if anyone watched the last four years, Prince owes Kobe in every single game they played. Prince was the key for Detroit shocker beating Lakers in 5 games in the Finals. Against McGrady several years ago. Last year against Wade. Take 100% Kobe away in every game will result in rout from the Pistons. I cannot wait for Prince to give it to him once again. I am very suprise of this thread everyone backs Prince.

Welcome to SBR maverick.

Yeah, but seems like this year Kobe's prayer shots have been dropping more often then not.

I hope Tayshaun shows Kobe up tomorrow. But I really want to see the Pistons lose the game, getting tired of seeing them win and cover all the time.

ONe thing you guys have to understand is if Phil Jackson goes with his big lineup then Prince will not be able to guard Kobe, or Odom will put Rip Hamilton i the totture chamber, so Hamilton is going to have to guard Kobe most of the game

What game are you watching? On the defensive the last several years Prince has always guarded Kobe no matter how big the lineup was with Shaq or Odom. On the offensive Kobe guards Rip.

I pick Lakers with the 8 or 9 pointspread. It is almost impossible to win in Detroit Staightp even with a 8 point spread. I think they will cover the spread the Lakers.

datek you don't get it basketball is all about matchups, the fact that Prince has always guarded Kobe is irrelevant, Richard Hamilton cannot check Lamar Odom, so Prince has to guard him and Hamilton guards Kobe. Lamar Odom played power forward last year so Prince could guard Kobe. The only possible way to let Prince guard Kobe would be to let one of the Wallace' guard Odom and put Hamilton on Kwame Brown but I doubt they would do that.
