A dog can be trusted more then your closet friend when it comes to loyalty.

Sorry about your dog mo when you get over the loss there is another one waiting for a good home at your local humane society

Condolences Mo. It's a shame that dogs have such a relatively short time here with us while some animals like turtles can outlast us. Not knocking turtles ... just saying.

Slew - that was a great story and really nice post. Thatnks for sharing it.

Mo - I have three dogs and they are part of my family. I understand your loss and am so sorry for your sadness. But sometimes I feel sadder for those people who have never opened their home or their heart to the love and friendship of a pet. You were lucky to have such great furry friends. I hope you'll invite another one into your life sometime soon.

Sorry. Never had a dog die, but when I was a little I had to get rid of one I grew up with when I moved houses, which sucked pretty bad.

Mo, that sucks dick - if I had to pick between my boy Seymour and my family - I'd pick Seymour over all but three of them - I don't think anyone or anything can love you more than a dog - nothing like seeing your dog flying around the house when you get home.

Can't even imagine, Cal (centre) will be 10 this year and has a grey beard, i've had her since she was 6 weeks old and she is just starting to look old.

    Condolances.

Great photo of the dogs. The sad part is the short life span for most dogs.
