Thanks for the PMs guys. We wanted to get some good feedback from players using the books in Nevada. Anyone who wants to share their experiences or take some notes in the future, please chime in.

I can tell you my experiences betting MLB sides:

Coast Casinos: Excellent service and high limits. Bets up to $10k were generally not a problem. No hassles. They even give some comp value for sports bets. Dime-line.

Stations: Posted $4k limits on sides $1k totals. No hassles ever. Dime-line.

Leroy's (Sahara,Tropicana,etc): $3k limit on sides. Zero hassles, in fact the only book to never even ask for ID. Dime-line.

Hilton: Lots of limit hassles. Some days $3k, some days $1k. Overcrowded, it was the most likely place to get shut out because of long lines and not enough tellers at game time. Dime-line.

Stratosphere: Kept changing limits. They started the season at $3k and dropped to $1k by the end of the season. They actually offered a 7-cent line that broke very early. Lines were sharp, IMO.

Harrah's (Rio,Caesar's, Ballys, etc): If you want to bet more than $1k, don't go anywhere but Caesar's. Tons of hassles at Rio and Ballys. The manager at the Rio once refused to take a bet of any size from me. Never any problems at Caesar's with bets up to $5k. Dime-line.

MGM: High vig but no hassles up to $5k bets. 20-cent line, but slow moving and sometimes opinionated.

Wynn: Some hassles early in the season, but they really got their act together. After the first few weeks, bets up to $3k were no problem. For some reason, though, they do give you the evil eye back there. Great place to watch a game. Dime-line.

Palms: Low limits ($2k) but no hassles. Dime-line. Good video poker, if you need to kill some time.

My boys want to take me to vegas fo rmy bachelors party. so where is a good spot to go blow some money on some games, get a **clean** hooker (no baus here) thats worth banging the hell out of a few times and still have enough to play craps/blackjack or something until we catch our flight home?

Rampart Casino has some of the most ridiculous juice I've ever seen. I havn't been back there in over a year but they had a lot of 30 and 40 cent or higher sides.

I'll share my gripes...
Planet Hollywood has become VERY picky about who they'll take action from. Expect hassles betting dimes if you're not staying there.

Stratosphere and Arizona Charlies will adjust limits quickly according to the sharpness of your bets. AC just said screw it and gave me the boot. Strat gets selective sometimes with what they want action on.

Imperial Palace has gone down the toilet since acquired by Harrahs. They used to take tons of action without blinking. Now everything has been cut down and they call over to Caesars to be sure certain bets are "OK". Complete joke of a book now. $300 limits on SB props

Wynn is a good place to bet except for their ridiculous policy on ID. No bets or payouts over 3k without showing your ID and providing your SSN.

I've had a Leroys book reject a bet amount then move the line before the smaller bet is put through (bets from all Leroys books are approved at a central office). I'm pretty sure this practice is Illegal.

On the positive side...
Hilton takes big bets no sweat. Huge book.
Stations have clearly posted limits on everything and take most bets without any hassle.
MrX is right, no point in trying to bet any Harrahs line anywhere other than Caesars. They will take decent action there, though.

The strip isn't very diverse these days. You basically have 3 independent shops and then everyone else is Harrahs or MGM.
Downtown has a few CalNeva and Leroys outposts. Cal and Freemont have Coast lines. The Nugget and Plaza do their own thing.

That was certainly not my experience there. I expected great things from the "superbook" and was let down. Not once did they approve a bet over $3k for me on MLB sides. Sometimes I was limited to $2k.

I'm guessing you mean a CTR. and its comes with a transaction of more than 10k

I have no idea about the season win totals. Where they are offered, I would expect limits lower than typically found online, but I'm really just guessing.

You won't get W-2Gs for any wins, regardless of the amount (unless a parlay payed over 300 to 1 I think). In fact, you won't get any kind of form, but at some point you will trigger a CTR, which is filed by the casino, not reported by you. A CTR is not anything you claim on your tax form, it's just the government keeping an eye out for money laundering. You can avoid a lot of them by taking your winnings in casino chips. Some places are CTR happy and there's no avoiding them, and some are pretty lax. Personally, I don't make much of an attempt to avoid them.
