Thumbs up Have a 10 unit wager on Hillary Clinton to win Democratic Nomination. Risked 17 units

    2008 Election Wagers: 2-0 +2.00 Units

10* Hillary Clinton to win the Democratic nomination -170

I know it's going to take a long time to get the money but I couldn't resist.

Risked 17 units to win 10 units on Hillary to win the Democratic nomination. IMO there is no way Barack Obama can win the democratic nomination. The two states Barack Obama has won so far are Iowa (next door to Home State of Illinois) South Carolina(Jesse Jackson has won there before what does that tell ya).

Clinton is going to win by landslides in CA,Penn,NY and TX( polls have her leading by 20+%). She is leading by 20%+ in FLA but the delegates won't count but IMO that is an indication of things to come. Bill Clinton is camapaigning for Hillary and doing a good job from what I've gathered.

I don't see Obama winning enough big states to even stay close let alone win. This wager should definitely come through barring a major blunder from the Clintons.

GL, but don't forget about the delegates that edwards has, if he withdraws and sides/endorses obama, edwards can give away his delegates to obama, which probably will happen. i've seen rumors obama has promised edwards attorney general if he is elected.

i dont know if edawards will back either candidate, but if he does it will obviously be obama.

then again, the rep want to go vs hil, so they'll pump some money into dumping on Obama.

imo, it's far from over, that's all i'm saying. i think it's funny people are already crowning clinton the democratic nominee.

The best way to view this is to set your own politics aside and handicap this thing like a sports event. Once the cal primaries are in she will have the advantage and the odds will drop, provided she wins.
I actually make $ on the last presidential election. However I'm ashamed to admit how I did it.

I've looked at many different angles and everything points to a Clinton victory. I think there is bogus momentum for Obama right now for winning SC and getting the Kennedy nomination.

I'm also afraid to say it but it's true that his name Barack Hussein Obama will turn off many voters as well as his black heritage. Hillary has the hispanic, white and womens vote locked down. I'll give Obama credit he has the young voters and the black voters but I think Hillary has more groups voting for her. I just think Hillary's group will make it to the polls more.

Would not be surprised if Hillary Clinton is -500 after Feb 5th.

that's why i moved the comment, i like your bet though even though i'm a huge obama supporter. if our country is dumb enough to vote for GW twice, they're dumb enough to vote her into office

momma mo loves Hil. i will have to read your reasons why you dont like her. the reps have no one imo, so we're left with hil/obama.

she might not be a bad prez, imo people are voting for her for the wrong reasons. no offense, but mommy mo probably likes her because she's a female, just like a majority of voters, the other reason is because she's bill's husband. that makes alot of sense.

I too think Obama would probably make a good president. But he has too many negatives on him NAME,RACE,Islam associations etc.

at your comment about dumb enough.. Do you ever watch David Letterman's nightly feature he has, where he shows GW stumbling and mumbling on words.

    yes funny shit.

agree with your obama negatives. what bothers me is, what does that have to do with running our country. nothing imo, but the majority of voters won't vote for him because of that, which makes me sad/angry/frustrated to be an american.

This country "still" has a close minded mentality. It's safe to say Romney would of preformed much better if he were a Christian instead of a Mormon..

momma mo likes her for many reasons. i tell her its because shes a woman and momma gets

her being a woman is a better reason than religion or money which is why others get elected. doesnt bother me if a woman wants to see the first woman in. change has to start somewhere. we claim to be this high class society and a land of opportunity, but all of our presidents look like brothers. interesting.

i guess it's not as bad as i make it out to be, just hope it isn't about what voters would rather have as prez, a woman or a black man. it's so much more then that.

oh, its much more, but what percentage of people think any more deeply. lots of people wont vote for Hillary because shes a woman. lots will vote for her only because shes a woman with a legit chance. what logical reason did anyone have for voting for bush? what logical reason did people have for voting for him twice? personally, i don't hold out hope that we'll ever live in a country where the majority is open minded, so i don't get as frustrated by the things you've mentioned. People will tell you that every vote matters, but thats not really true. 500K less votes and Bush still becomes our leader. I think the only thing we can do is plan our personal course of action based upon who our leader becomes. everyone has something they offer positively and something negatively. we have to adjust our individual lives to try and set ourselves up to be as happy as possible. the best candidate our country has isnt ever likely to be the president, so we're left to choose from the people who can get the most funding and sell themselves to the most people. whos more likely to be sold, an idiot or a brilliant mind? we're gonna be led by who can convince more idiots to vote for them, imo. so, with that, i hope for something and i'll have to adjust to whatever happens.

the more money the more votes, sad it probably comes down to that, it's why bush has been there 8 years.
