Yeah they had them on the local news here in atlanta and a the last couple were adopted out. The one they showed looked so pitiful it made me sad. You could tell he was really abused. They did extensive backgrounds on the people who adopted the dogs and made sure they had histories with pit bulls. The dogs on tv though didn't look like they could hurt a flea, they were still pretty beaten up. Good to see this.

Glad to see some of the animals involved in that horrible racket made it out to good homes.

Oh my goodness....I could just SQUISH Hector!! What a stud! I'm glad not all of these dogs were put down. However, I hope they didn't go into homes with children right away. No matter how gentle they seem, these dogs have been through hell and there's no garuntee they won't snap at some point. Kids don't know how NOT to grab a rescue dog. And no, I'm not a Pitbull hater...I love all dogs....but even a Golden Retriever is a risk if it's been abused. You never know what will set them off.

    From the article:

Nearly half have been sent to a Utah sanctuary, Best Friends Animal Society, where handlers will work with them. None showed human aggression and many have potential for adoption someday.

This is the charity I suggested when SBR was asking for imput about donations. I think it would be fitting for a sports forum to donate money to that organization.
