Default Cavs will represent East in NBA Finals

Cleveland Cavaliers +1800

Tons of value in this bet right now, I believe the Cavs will win the East and will have a great chance at winning it all with the way Lebron is playing. Honestly they have a LEGIT chance at doing this

Cavs +1800 to win NBA Championship

Or the Pistons, or the Celtics, or the Magic?

The Wiz have been incredible without Gilbert........mega-props to the boys in DC. I really like Lebron and the Cavs too. What happened to the West anyhow? The East seems to have caught up, talent wise.

I'll take a shot at this:

The East has caught up because A) the West is getting older (see S.A., Dallas, and Phoenix) B) the East has lured key West players (see KG, Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis for starters, even Caron Butler...) and C) the East's young bucks are finally truly coming around (Dwight Howard, Lebron -just dominating this year-, Al Jefferson, Bosh etc.). And don't get started on the role players that that the East is getting (take a good look at Toronto's roster).

It was natural for the balance to shift, but shifting so abruptly was a little bit of a surprise.

Why didn't you tell us this last season? What was the line on the Cavs to win the East last season?

I came into this thread to argue the title but can't argue that price. Not to mention, the Celts have sat 2 of their "big 3" due to injuries and the Cavs can still acquire somone before the deadline.

Yeah that is to win the finals +1800 and to win the East I believe it is something like +1000. I think both are good bets. I am going to throw a couple units on both of those futures. Who do you think the Cavs would be interested in acquiring by the deadline?

Sorry man..... I disagree with you big time on this one.. Laying money on a futures bet with cleveland is a sucker bet.. Pistons WILL win the east.. The cavs have lebron and that is it.. Lebron has NO talent around him.. Larry Hughes?? Hell, cleveland fans want him traded.. Once lebron's contract runs out he will sign with another team because he'll realize he's just not gonna win a championship with the cavs. The cavs won't beat boston or detroit in a 7 game series.

Lebron and the Cavs beat Detroit less than a year ago in the Eastern Finals so what makes you think they cant do it again? Lebron is getting only better as he matures and his role players arnt as bad as everyone thinks. They arnt the best but I think they will win the East

The cavs live and die by lebron.. Just look at their record and stats without him in the lineup.. It speaks for itself..

this has good value as long as KG is not 100%

if KG and big 3 are 100% then i can't see cavs beating celtics

celtics have too much scoring and lebron can't keep up even as good as he is

cavs would need bibby and that ain't happening for hughes unless draft picks get involved

Bring up the name larry hughes to ANY cavs fan and you will make them feel sick.. Cavs fans want him traded ASAP.. Only problem is the cavs gave him so much money now no other teams want to make a trade for him.. Cleveland is STUCK with him.

I like Boobie Gibson a lot, he is as clutch as they come from behind the arc he is just raining 3's these days. Varajo is great on the glass, Big Z is a decent scoring option in the post, Hughes is a decent role player and good defender even though hes underachieved bigtime... overall I like this nucleus with Lebron leading the way. I like them to take the East, we shall see

They can't afford Kidd. I'm surprised they aren't making a play for Sam Cassell.

Their saying Kidd will be with the Mavs by the all-star break. Now that would be the missing piece to the puzzle for that team IMO.

I like the Cavs a lot better paying 11.5 to 1 to win the Eastern Conference.

Great possibility the Cavs will be a decent sized underdog against a team like Dallas, Phoenix, San Antonio...

Very good value bet. If Lebron can campaign hard enough and get Jason Kidd........You could see the +1800 be cut in half, if not more very shortly.
