    Default Beckett/Johan vs King Felix/Bedard

A few things would have to come through, obviously, for these guys to be teamates and possibly oppose each other in a playoff series. but, if they did, would boston have a huge advantage in 08.

    game 1
    beckett vs bedard
    game 2
    johan vs felix

I think CC/Carmona would then be the 3rd best 1/2 in the AL.

Ya, I liked Bondo in 06. I think he will get his head of out his ass this year and those boys will be solid. Robertson is the only Tiger in the starting rotation I am worried about.

Where does Johan Santana end up? Will he be tossing for Minnesota still?

    this is the latest:

Charley Walters of the St. Paul Pioneer Press expects a Johan Santana deal to get done within the next 10 days.
Walters doesn't list the Mets, Red Sox or Yankees as favorites, though he does say the Twins again tried and failed to get the Angels involved. ESPN's Buster Olney has sources telling him that Jon Lester is now off the table, suggesting Boston's current offer could be built around Jacoby Ellsbury. There's been little lately to indicate the Mets or Yankees have adjusted their offers.

Bonderman really needs to work on his first innings, good lord last year was a disaster. obviously hes still very young, he'll be 25 throughout 08, but his k ratios went down and his ha ratios went up. thats not good, but hes got a world of talent. i would have loved to have seen det go after lidge or r soriano at closer, that seems to be their lone weak spot.

I agree. Jones, sure he has been there for a decade but they guy can't pitch for shit. He would do well in the pen as a coach. I was hoping they would have snagged Francisco Cordero or Chad Cordero. The Tigers also should have played with Robertson and Inge to get another starter. They are gonna get buried I think by teams on the score sheet. Those boys can't relieve. Rogers is toast. D Willis hasn't proven himself. Could get interesting. Also Inge wants to play at the corner. They offered him a spot behind the plate. He used to play catch in 03 but has been golden glove material since at 3rd. Vance Wilson is beat up and Pudge won't be around long. They need to make this happen before they trade him off.

Their depth chart is sick though. I can't wait to see these boys hit. I think the starting line up with be as follows I think...

    1.Granderson
    2.Polanco
    3.Ordonez
    4.Cabrera
    5.Sheffield
    6.Guillen
    7.Renteria
    8.Rodriguez
    9.Thames

    Sick.

miguel cab should win more than one MVP in det if he stays in shape. reports say hes already lost some 18lbs and hes dedicated. willis called miguel cab a baseball genius. what i couldnt figure, in that deal with the marlins, was if det wanted willis or if florida wanted Miller. i wouldnt have traded miller to get willis, so im guessing they had to do that for the marlins. either way, i cant believe det puts a roster together like this and they dont have a closer. it makes no sense.
