    Default Web$ experiences?

I was wondering if anybody here has experiences with Web$ that they could share with me.

The thing is, I am playing poker at some B2B Network sites (such as 24hpoker, Martinspoker etc.), where they use the Euro as currency. As deposit/withdrawal methods they use Neteller and Web$ amongst others. At the moment I have a Neteller account, with the USD as currency. I do not wish to change this into Euro, as I still have other USD transactions. But at the same time, I want to avoid the huge transaction fees incurred by Neteller, whenever there is a currency exchange (Euro-> USD and vice versa) involved. So I'm looking into opening an account somewhere else, with the Euro as base currency. Since B2B supports Web$, I considered it.

But so far, I've yet to find any non-Russian (it's not exactly my first language, nor my second...nor my third. You get my point) reviews of Web$.

So who can help me out?

    Thanks.

Never heard of Web$ to be honest.

If you're in the Eurozone then what about a CC deposit? 24hpoker cover the costs of CC deposits and will refund and monies up to the value of your deposit back to the CC, the rest by other means. I'd be a lot happier depositing by CC than an unknown method like Web$.

    Thank you for your reply.

I should say that I prefer to avoid Bank Transfer or CC usage. I prefer a method that is not as easily monitored (such as Neteller), due to tax regulations -- tax regulations are in a very grey area here.

Web$ is very unknown, except for in Russia, it seems. I have no idea why B2B offers support for Web$, but not for Moneybookers, for instance.

I see your point about keeping a low profile.

If I were you then I'd just play at places that accepted whatever methods of payment you have access to rather than signing up to an unknown like Web$.

If that's the case then you should be OK. I've just never heard of it myself - since I only use Neteller, I don't really notice the multitude of other payment methods.

(just to update this thread --- most likely people have heard of them by now)

I have a Web$ account and have applied for a Web$ passport (you will know what I mean when you undergo the process). For a sportsbook to accept your Web$, I think you should have at least a level of "personal" passport which means that the details that you have given Web$ has been verified by an authorized Web$ verification (passport issuer) center. I sent my docs to Russia just recently and still undergoing the process.

All I can say is that their system is very secure, high-tech and complex (maybe too secure with lots of verification etc).

They are widely-used in the Eastern European countries and of course in Russia.

I have not seen bad reviews about them. I've been able to upload funds and send a payment already with zero problems.

    Everything is done instantly.

Web$ is convertible to e-gold (and other digital currencies) and vice-versa which makes it liquid. And being in Russia, makes them immune to some laws that are currently hounding other payment systems.

Their English Language site is www.wmtransfer.com (so much to read here).

    Hope this helps.
