Default ESB/Telebet - Need your opinion Bill Dozer

I'm not sure if this is the most elegant way to handle this, but this was posted in a different thread and seems like it should be a new topic. Hope you don't mind HAPPY BOY.

(I didnt get his name) he said if I take the 500.00 owed me and put back into my account and roll this amount 5x he would honor this payout which was due me since Feb 04. He said he is not making any pay outs till October. Is it even worth to do this Bill, or should I just consider this a lost cause. I have a new book and think my energy is best spent there were I know if I win Ill get paid. Thought welcomed.

Sounds like a real bad deal to me. They are hoping you will put YOUR MONEY into action and lose it. If you happened to win, there's no reason to expect them to act honorably and pay out. You'll just end up wishing you had placed those bets at a reputable shop.

Just a lot of dicking around if you ask me. If they're going to STIFF you then they're going to STIFF you regardless of this monkey-business.

That's my 2 cents but maybe Dozer has some inside poop.

They wanna make you ROLL OVER your own money that they owe you? What a crock of sh!t!!! I wouldn't do it. Mudcat is right, they are hoping that you will lose it all. Even if you win they probably won't pay anyways.

Let's remember, this is the scumbag outfit that came up with this:

SBR Bill Dozer reports: Beware of fraud watchdog sites like the LVSN Watchdog. LVSN.com recommends players use Scam-Book EnglishSportsBetting (SBR rating F-), while giving tips on how to avoid disreputable sportsbooks. Once the player becomes stranded in ESB, LVSN charges victims a fee for help in recovering their funds which they will never see. LVSN is simply an extension of ESB’s con game. Both sites share the same IP address.

    Happy Boy,

My guess is that they are using Telebet as their new brand name hoping that less people will recognize them as the scam they are. It also doesn't make a lot of sense from a marketing perspective to have your domain and name be drastically different. That is why sportsbooks like First Fidelity are now attempting to push the domain name as the brand. YouWager at www.Youwager.com is much easier to remember.

Another reason players shouldn't be optimistic is that ESB can't be worth much. The value could be determined by the amount of marketing that has already been purchased and by the amount of active players who do not yet realize the book is a scam. Now, if the "new ownership" actually intended on inheriting even a fraction of the debt then the sportsbook is worth much less than nothing.

More than likely this is the owners attempt to disassociate himself with the company and possibly protect his own assets.

I don't think we should get our hopes up but I will be calling management in the morning. Even though they are likely wasting our time, anytime there is a glimmer of hope it is worth the effort. Sometimes making a scam book believe that we may actually fall for their lies gets a few smaller players paid.

I spoke to Telebet's "manager"(I have a problem calling them managers by title until they prove they are managing something) John this morning. He was adamant that we would see payouts before October. John also insisted that ESB had new owners and that there was some value for these new owners to inherit. I don't see where that value is, especially when they are changing the brand (Telebet) but keeping the debt.

Perhaps now is not the time to be asking 100 questions. Hopefully Telebet can prove me wrong and I look forward to speaking with John over the course of the next month.

I've got no inside info - and I don't mean to be downer for HAPPY BOY - but it would be hard to bet on anything but the NOT PAY.

We also received a few emails from WorldWager management celebrating that "all players have been paid!!".

    Tis the season, I guess.

Feel free to email me as well. You won't see any positive comments from SBR unless they process a payout. We don't want to give players a false sense of hope. We should also note that many scam books come out with their turning-new-leaf speech during preseason foots. They hope to avoid negative comments that will have adverse effects on their new marketing investments.

I was with these guys about 7 or 8 years ago. Luckily, I never had any
bad experiences and good thing I moved on before I could get stiffed.
