    Angry Espn hd

All their games should be in High Definition. It is bogus you turn it on and a lot of their college basketball games are not. Like the A&M and Oklahoma State game.

It is about time ESPN, spend that money and get rid of the old cameras and just use HD ones.

What's equally annoying is, when they do broadcast say a less popular game in HD, you have to squint to notice because they throw up that 4:3 ratio with the ESPN walls on either side. Show full screen or nothing at all, I love watching in 16:9 nothing else.

If it is in 4:3, with the ESPN bars on each side, it is not a HD feed.

Yeah I figured. Everything looks slimmed down, like they take a standard feed and try to enhance it and stick it in 4:3, if it's not HD it shouldn't be on the HD channel imo. it's the same thing they'll do with Seinfeld, i'll just watch that on standard fox. the 4:3 bars on the side sometimes temporarily burn in on my Plasma TV.

How nice. Non HD games on both ESPN and ESPN2. Spend some of that money ESPN and get more HD Cameras.

Do you actually watch the games you bet on?

Not often. I really don't like to.

It just pains me to watch anything in standard definition anymore. All their cameras should be HD, period.

I'll watch a game I've bet on if it's on. Why waste a big screen HDTV? Paying extra per month for HD channels, might as well use them. Don't watch every last game, and probably would add a few years onto my life not watching any, but you could use that same rationale and quit doing a # of enjoyable things.

I imagine they will since everything will be in HD pretty soon... I think it's 2010 but that seems way too soon... Anyone happen to know..?

Isn't it 2009 when everything goes digital? Not sure on HD.

I cannot wait until everything is HD, it ROCKS! Those ****ing ESPN lines on 4:3 drive me nuts.

What's really annoying about that 4:3 ratio is the sides can burn in on plasmas. Images that stay on screen for very long periods of time can stay etched into the picture until you use a white screen or signal pattern on the screen. Things like scoreboards don't matter much since there are commercials thrown in. My next TV I may look into an LCD, even though the HD picture I have blows away any LCD I've ever seen. Maybe just will get a new one for the bedroom.

don't really care. as long as my bet covers, i don't care if it broadcasted out of a black and white box.
