    Default All American Football League

Boys, for all of those like me excited for the 1st All American Football League Draft tomorrow, what would be better than a Beat The Prick contest for this outstanding idea by Ted Turner. Anyone know if the books are going to have action on these games?

Is this the league that's going to be playing in college towns this spring? Heard a little about it a couple months ago, but nothing since. I think the players had to have gone to school in the same area where the pro team is.

From their website (and I checked it yesterday, just going by memory) they have six teams: Texas, Arkansas, Michigan, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama.

They will field teams comprised only of players who have completed 4 years of college. Some of the better known players played at the school that the team is named from.

A few name-brand players who either didn't make it in the NFL after a few seasons, or were never drafted. Like for Florida, the QB in the Gators championship game win over Ohio State a year ago, also a wide receiver from ten years ago.

A few brand-name coaches, the rest relatively unknown.

Doesn't look like they have a TV contract - maybe you can watch the games online.

TBS. The league head quarters is based in the ATL. Ted Turner is all over this one. Most games are broad casted in Turner's network, better known as TBS
