$50 a time to fill up my car here. Nice to know I'm contributing to polar bears having fun. LOL.

About 8 years ago, I stood on the very spot where these pictures were taken. To the best of my recollection, this was nothing more than an empty beach front area sandwiched between the Burj Al Arab Hotel (the sail-shaped building in background of first photo) and the walled, sprawling compound of some local royalty.

In recent years, there has been a tremendous amount of development in this area with billions of dollars spent to create an international tourist meca. One can only imagine that, given the current political climate, tourism in the area may be "off" a little.

BTW, if you'd like to stay at the Burj Al Arab Hotel, plan on anywhere from $1000 USD to $2000 USD per night and higher

I think it's worth it. I saw it on the travel channel and the rooms are amazingly beautiful.

you must admire the engineering involved

and you must buy japanese cars the days of the 4 litre engine are limited.

if your not towing more than 1500kg, you don't need that extra capacity.

new low capacity diesels are coming out of the land of the rising sun that are giving 180bhp as standard.

always found it a bit strange that americans have the best maintained roads in the world and the biggest engines.

stop it,
stop it,
now i say

been a good 60 years since any hostilities, so have a rethink.

Go to http://www.imageshack.us/ and click the "url" button

Right click on the first picture on this page and select "Copy Image location"

Paste that link into where is says "page image url here" and click on "host it"

Then you get a URL to the picture you've hosted which you can send to your friends. Repeat as necessary.

And since I'm a nice guy, I've saved you the effort:

Hey this country relies on the money we get from gas. 36 cents a
gallon goes to taxes. And oil companies show 10bil quarter profit!!
Thats Right QUARTER PROFIT.. $CAM

What I hate is when 'uber neocons' decide that the 10 bil$ profit is only about a 10% profit on money put up... Like it's no big deal.

Not to mention that because of mega tax breaks/governmental 'help', annual financials will be through the roof. Sure the % of profits won't be big - but the dollar amount will be ridiculous.

I believe in capitalism and all - but we're a world built on oil... To benefit so few people at the expense of people with no money is low rent crap.

What a pussy-whipped government we have. They easily push around both the oil companies, oil producing countries such as Saudia Arabia, and the car manufacturers. But they do practically nothing. And they allocate barely anything for hyrdogen fuel cell development. Both Democrats and Republicans alike are pathetic.
