I hope no one faults me for bad taste (ugh, pun, groan) for posting this.

But I do wonder if the accused killer used salt and pepper on his morsels.

And yes, I realize that I'm insensitive in posting this on MLK's birthday celebration. But then, the guy is pepper, his killed and cooked lady friend was salt.

Guess we still have lynchings. Reverse ones, now.

If this were racially reversed, if a white degenerate had butchered and boiled an African-American woman, it would have been a week-long (probably longer) media fest. With all sorts of long editorials about "injustice and intolerance in America."

Until black criminals are treated in the media in the same way as are white criminals, all the blathering about "equality" is just so much eyewash.

Definitely a dual standard. By not pointing up the very high rates of black crime (as does Bill Cosby) the media is in effect patronizing the African-American community. Treating them as sensitive children, not as adults responsible for their own actions.

    Sounds insulting to me.

When, few years ago, some white bums dragged a black guy behind a truck, killing him, the media drummed on it for weeks. This case, even more sadistic, would deserve the same kind of treatment ---- but won't get it.

Minorities are given a pass by the mostly white owned and hypocritical mass media. That does a great disservice to the minority communities, and some in those communities (not just Cosby) know it well and have voiced concern.

The code of silence in the black community - rivalling the old Mafia "omerta" - is celebrated in rap, but is cancerous in that community. Because it sanctions criminals, who prey mostly on people of their own race.

The US is drowning in shameless hypocrisy. Those familiar with sports know that the Puritanical NFL and NBA are the biggest hypocritical fakers you can find. And of course MLB.

Ditto for the mostly white-owned mass media, who refuse to tackle "tough" issues, from war to race. And this "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" attitude is reflected in the body politic of the entire nation.

It will break its bonds in unpleasant ways, eventually. Meanwhile, race relations, crime, etc are topics that can be discussed and argued rationally and without vituperation, at least on the Net, and between even-tempered individuals.
