Default NE -13.5 - Does this number go up or down?

I think down, tho one may reason that it will rise to a more "key" 14.

Sharps are, i think, going to push it to 13.

Anyone else have an idea on this?

Failed to cover last five games as DD faves. But this is a game that draws a huge amount of square money. Tho probably not until later this week or next week.

It wouldn't surprise me it it hits 13 and stays there.

Take Pats ML, it won't matter what the spread is at. We've seen the giants lose to them already. The giants played a great game too. I don't see why anything would change?

**** Farve. IT, after IT. Would take Giants and points personally, but can watch the line and you should see difference between books in the coming weeks so can find the best price either way.

Pats will have all the pressure and hype now, not the giants. Was thinking that line should be 9.5. Giants probably going to do what Denver did when the broncos were 11 to 13 points dogs against greenbay in the superbowl.

I tend to agree. Giants can play with Pats.

I already have NE in a future from weeks ago, but personally I don't think it'll get to 14.5, the Giants will draw a lot of action and plus NE has burned most everyone the past several weeks.

I think you may be right, Crazy. The Giants are in a major market, their fans are fanatical, and I know that when I'm in North Jersey there is no lack of bookies (some of whom will likely lay off offshore).

At the same time, the huge volume of sqaure money that will come in worldwide is going to favor the Pats - undefeated, a glamor QB, recent SB champions - the whole nine (or one hundred) yards.

Also, weather figures to be nice barring a really crappy day, remember it's in Arizona. Wind should not have a part in it to alter any game plans.

Bookmaker (of the CRIS group) opened at 13.5, the line I quoted originally.

They are now at -13 at Bookmaker. As I'd thought. The sharps are pushing the number down. Tho I don't think the books are wanting to go into territory like 12.5, 12, 11.5, 11.

Look maybe for the juice to rise at the +13. Just waitin' for the squares . . .

I was wrong, the Bookmaker number is now at 12.5.

Cripes, will this go down to 10, where it actually should be?

These early SB lines do often move, but not that dramatically.

I'll take all the action you want on the Pats at -2000000000.

sportsbookspy already has 4095 bets being placed and 74% are on Giants.

I should also note that I'm not sure how many books they monitor

As I see it the early money will be on the Giants and the line will drop. There could be some 12's out there later this week. As game time arrives the flow of money will be on the Pats and drive some lines to 14. I can't see it going any higher than that.

Line has come down to 13, so early money was on Giants, but could well go back up in last couple of days before the game. People who never bet put money on this game. Not hard to imagine who they'll bet on, with all the hype in the media about the unbeaten team. Because of the Pats story this could be some interesting line movement. Books could get middled big time.

Lines are at -13 and light juice for fave at some places, still right now 12.5.

Books could get middled for sure if there is more line movement. Or even between the 13.5 and 12.5.

But history as in indicator tells us that the line isn't going to move, right up to kickoff. It will hang at 13.

Of course, if the public is overwhelmed by the story of the Patriots and unleashes their collective bankrolls . . .

Not that it matters. Pats don't blow out teams anymore, and win by a late FG in their Super Bowls.

If I was a bookmaker I'd want people betting on the Patriots. They covered only twice since the start of November, yet keep getting the action on inflated lines.

Roof is there to keep out the desert heat and keep in the A/C. Not hot in February so roof will be open.
