Thanks guys. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t misunderstanding something in the math. I hear people all the time acting like it’s a sucker play not to take odds, but I think it’s a sucker play to be at the table in the first place, and that you’re not helping or hurting yourself by taking odds.
Good point about the comps though. I wasn’t thinking about that angle at all. Sometimes no edge bets are good if there is some auxiliary consideration like that. Just like if you can meet a sportsbook bonus rollover with a bunch of break even bets.
