TOLEDO, OH -- Former Macomber, Tennessee and Green Bay Packer running back, Chuck Webb is one of the coaches for the McKinley Broncos, a pee-wee football team that's won three championships in the last six years. Webb, once a Bronco himself has a son on the team . The former player is enjoying his current role as coach.

They use Denver's decals on their helmets... They cover most of the helmet LOL...

On that TN team at the time was Larry Smith, Ernest Fields, John Fisher, and Kacy Rogers. They were at two different rival high schools that were about 8-10 miles from my hometown. Ernest ran through our defense like it was nothing and when we played Kacy he killed our QB. George Kidd was the same age and we were rivals as well. Later on I played against Trey Teague (Manning's roommate) but he was like a freshman or sophomore when I was a senior. We later worked out at the sme gyn in the summers. Al Wilson was nearby in 8th grade and people were already talking about him. By the way, I used to coach at a high school with Johnny Jones. Johnny's a cop but he volunteered for us. He was one of the best backs TN ever had and an even nicer guy. I've never met a guy so naturally strong. He's solid and can still move. The guy is around 50 and can bench over 400after not even working out for 6 months. Future vols within 20 miles or so were Toby Champion, Justin Harrell, Chad Clifton, Jabarri Greer and more that I'm forgetting. The most famous though is NFL HOFer Doug Atkins who played where Rogers did and still lives there. Orange runs deep where I'm from. There's several more I coached against.

Al Wilson

Former Denver Broncos linebacker Al Wilson, who sat out the 2007 season because of neck problems, was cleared to play the 2008 season by Los Angeles back specialist Bob Watkins.

The 30-year-old Wilson is a free agent and able to sign with any team that is interested. A five-time Pro Bowler, Wilson is considered an ideal middle linebacker in a 4-3 scheme because of his leadership and ability to line up teammates before plays.

During the 2007 offseason, the Broncos traded Wilson to the New York Giants for a middle-round draft choice. The trade was voided when Wilson failed the team physical because of his neck problems. His rights reverted back to the Broncos, who eventually released him.

Wilson's neck problems started in 2003 when he suffered some stingers. He went to Dr. Watkins, who advised him to rest until the neck was better. On Wednesday, Watkins, who is normally conservative in allowing players to return with neck problems, informed Wilson he could resume his career.

Without Wilson, the Broncos had one of the worst defensive seasons since Mike Shanahan became head coach.
