I'd prefer to stick to sports gambling around here, but since there are so many people here posting ridiculous statements about the Democrats, I thought I'd post something from the other side (only difference being this is actually true). I suppose some of you would be in favor of this.

At a Michigan campaign event last night, Mike Huckabee gave an interesting reason for why he wants to amend the Constitution to ban both abortion and gay marriage: Otherwise, the Constitution would be in conflict with God.

Huckabee first observed that some of his opponents don't want to amend the Constitution on both of these topics. "But I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God," Huckabee said. "And that's what we need to do, is to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards."

As always, the media takes one sentence from a candidate and runs with it. I can't believe they got all of that out of that one sentence. I don't necessarily like her, but saying that Hillary defamed MLK when she commended Lyndon Johnson was absurd too.

I'm not voting for him, but I actually believe Huckabee is far more genuine AND mainstream than Bush (granted that's not saying too much)...

Arriving Tuesday in Rock Hill, S.C., Huckabee called for suspending immigration from countries that sponsor or harbor terrorists, going further than any of his rivals in proposing to clamp down on immigration.

Free translation: Now we are going after the people that are prosecuted in their countries by their terrorist harboring regimes and try to get out to come to the US for a better life. This guy knows how to lift the spirits of these people.

How will this help fight terrorism? It will actually help it grow.
