I read a thread and someone mentioned "bonus scalping" what exactly is that and how is it done, whenever something new comes out that I don't understand I like to be aware of problems before they occur. Let me know what this is. thank you.

you use 2 books - 1 where you get a nice bonus, and a second like Pinnacle with excellent lines.
Than you find games and bet both sides, with no or only a small loss - and in the end you have the bonus as fixed +

Or you get two books that are giving away nice bonuses and play them against each other. What you want to do is get lines that are .5 or 1 point difference so that you can side or middle. Now the problem occurs if you are classified as a bonus whore. Some books will confiscate your funds as it's against there rules and it's a pain in the ass to get it back. Bonus whores are bottom feeders.

scalping can be very dangerous and takes a lot of time (I don't have time to do a whole lot of it because I'm usually handicapping games)...but in theory (I stress in theory), you would put yourself at zero risk between two or more books and collect the bonuses as a means of meeting the rollover requirements...

the scarry thought about this one. is the fact that you have to find a very good book offering the bonus, or else it could be bad news in regards to cashing out.

sound like too much work. This is good for people who do this for a living or are total shut ins.

we used to call it middling a game back in n.y. i used 3 locals and would almost catch at least 1 nfl 2.5-3.5 game a week.

If you come across an opportunity that presence itself. By all means take advantage of it. There some advantages of scapling besides just the bonus. Occasionally you may find a profitable arb, or even find a weak number that you feel may pick up steam. Or as Spanky mention middling. One should consider what key or dead numbers they're trying to middle. Also how much your willing to risk to do so.

There are some people in this thread who know what they're talking about and some that clearly don't
