He did hurt his knee, but no report has been made. He limped off the court, and has not returned yet. It didn't look good.

Bynum left the game early in the 3Q with a knee injury. Looked pretty bad... went up for a rebound and as he landed he immediately fell to the ground. Was helped off the court and was unable to put any weight on the knee. No word yet on the severity of the injury, but it doesn't look good. Hopefully just a sprain and no ligament damage.

that would be devastating for the lakers, they were in a stretch of playing some good ball

X-Rays are negative. MRI schedule for tomorrow, and they are hoping it is just a sprained knee.

I reported wrong, he didn't limp off the court, he was helped off.

Latest: X-rays negative, Lakers hopeful it's just a sprain. Bynum will have an MRI tomorrow and he's in great pain right now.

    Yeah, for the time being.

The MRI could show what the X-Ray could not.

Sure the Sonics suck, but did you watch how stagnant LAL's offense became after Bynum's departure? His loss is a significant blow, as he was the primary reason for the Lakers improvement. Kobe may very well go for 40+ and they still may not cover. If Kobe struggles with his shot the Lakers have little chance of covering. The Lakers being a 7.5 pt. favorite on the second night of a back-to-back in a road game against anyone is a result of just how well they're playing of late, but Bynum's absence severely limits this team's capabilities. If nothing else, this should present a chance to middle when news of Bynum's injury circulates come tomorrow and the number inevitably drops.

It's already down to -7 on bookmaker/cris, and it's -7.5 @ -105 on thegreek, so it's dropping there too. This line could easily fall to -5 by gametime. Durant has been pretty impressive at being agressive and bringing the ball inside, my question is who is really going to stop him tomorrow? Kwame Brown? Lamar Odom? Luke Walton? I agree with rjt here. +7.5 for Seattle at home, with the Lakers facing a B2B, and worrying about their prodigy's short term future, is a very good value in this spot. You can either then, middle, or watch the game and evaluate at the half. I got lucky enough to get Seattle @ +7.5 @-110 about 45 min ago on bookmaker. Worth the shot. Esp for only 1 unit.

Cool. Fade away. If you're smart you'll wait until tomorrow and grab LAL -4.

Bynum out 8 weeks. I guess it could have been worse, but the Lakers are probably now looking at a 6 or 7 seed out West.

Andrew Bynum, a key factor in the Los Angeles Lakers' 25-11 start to the season, will miss eight weeks with a subluxation of his left kneecap and bone bruise.

Bynum's agent, David Lee, told ESPN The Magazine's Sam Alipour that Bynum will not need surgery. Bynum, who had an MRI on Monday, will begin rehabiliation immediately.

"He's already focusing on his rehab," Lee said Monday.

Bynum injured his knee early in the third quarter of Sunday night's 100-99 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. A subluxation occurs when the kneecap is pulled toward the outside of the knee.

"It was pretty scary because it felt like my knee twisted all around. Luckily I'm all right," Bynum, who was wearing a heavy brace after the game, said.

"I didn't hear any pops. I'm able to put weight on it and it doesn't really hurt. Just when I bend it, it hurts."

Bynum, in his third year in the NBA, is averaging 13.1 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.1 blocked shots per game.

Funny because originally he mentioned Andrew Bynum as one of the reasons he wanted to be traded.
