Default Let's Hear Some More Manning>Brady Arguments, Please

    Back to reality.

Peyton Manning chokes in big spot. Yeah you can blame his defense, which was always the "argument" for him, but can we blame his defense for those poor interceptions too?

I think Peyton is still an amazing quaterback, today was not good at all, but they have those days at times, just sucks it was in the playoffs. I think his problem, is he tries way way way too much on the pass. A few of those plays, I think if he would just tuck it and pick up 3-4 yards its better then looking at 3rd and 10 or 3rd and 9. I dont even know how many times it would be like 2nd and 5 and they would throw it, then get nothing then try again on 3rd and boom they are 3 and out. I mean give the rock to Addai and see if he can pick up a few if not, fine, but if he does, then you have 3rd and 2 and can run or do a screen pass instead of trying to get a pass attempt that is over 5 yards.

I was wondering something as well, doesnt it seem that Brady is a great quarterback, but relies on his coaches alot and with that balance, it seems he has been successful, whereas Peyton it seems, has resepct for his coach, but with Tony seems to put alot in Peyton's hand such as the audibles etc and that can work out good in some cases, but it seems other times the competior in him makes him stubborn to just pass pass pass when you need running plays as well to balance it out.

    Just my thoughts.

What does that even mean? Is part of being a "pure" QB not being clutch , and being clutch in the playoffs?

Manning is like a lost dog without Harrison. Brady has won Super Bowls with less receiving talent than what Manning has, and as soon as that playing field is leveled he throws 50 TD's with playing what, 3 games in a dome all year???

I think we can put this argument to bed now. Yes, Tom Brady is leaps and bounds better than Peyton. The best single season by a quarterback ever, undefeated regular season with TD passing record. Looks like he will add a 4th ring. What else does he need.

He's gotten the best of Peyton, took superbowls right off the guys dinner plate.

No, it really doesn't. Yes Manning has been a better regular season QB stats wise for a bit, but he's also had considerably more receiving talent. Do you deny that?

Look what Brady is doing now working with that kind of talent, PLUS add in how clutch, calm, and efficient he is in big games.

Sorry but who really cares....you guys are suppose to be gamblers, not sports fans. As soon as you start betting on sports you are no longer a fan. I mean who gives a f\*\*k if Manning is better than Brady or if Brady is better than Manning...let the NFL fans, sports journalists, and history answer that question.

Most of you guys are total clowns with these threads of who is better. You bet games...all you hope is that the QB you bet on plays well enough for you to cover a game.

You are as good as the people around you. Put Manning in Pats uniform and they still go undeafeated. If Brady had Moss hurt he probably would have choked too.

Put Brady in Manning's uniform and I'm certain working with Reggie Wayne, Anthony Gonzalez, Dallas Clark, Joseph Addai, that he would find a way to seal the deal vs SD. Harrison has been sidelined for two months. The Colts got this far because still, even with Harrison out, they have a dominant offense and landed the #2 seed in the AFC. If Indy "choked", it's not because #88 wasn't healthy. Maybe it's because they were rusty from playing their starters exactly two series two weeks ago. Funny how when Indy did win the Super Bowl last year they had no bye to start the playoffs.

Manning could never win the big game in college(against Florida). He could never win the big game in the Pro's(outside of last year). The Steelers went to their house and beat them as a 6th seed. The Chargers just went in to their house and beat them. When Peyton went on the road and played the Patriots in New England, he lost. Please dont compare the two. Brady gets the job done when it counts. Peyton doesn't. Period.

Ever notice that qb's known for being "winners" all played for hall of fame coaches/great general managers?

    Its apple and oranges.

Brady plays for a better organization so comparing the two of them is retarded.

Is Brady pretty damned good? Yep. Did he "lose" a 3td lead to Peyton last year in the defacto superbowl? yep. Was it all his fault? Nope. So, why is this game now all Peyton's fault. How about the defense allowing the most points they've allowed all year?

If San Diego beats New England in Foxboro next week does that Tarnish the legacy of Brady?

If Brady wins his 4th ring this year, along with the SuperBowl MVP, he will go down as one of the, if not THE best quarterback to ever play the game. There is no comparison between him and Manning when the game is on the line.

The real question is, where would Brady be today if not for the bullshit tuck rule call?
