But the real question is does the Mafia, er I mean the linesmakers, adjust the lines to account for the fix that they have put in with the refs?

It helps that they have video with 100 camera angles.

I think NBA refs are worse, but NFL guys also don't know when to swallow the whistle. Let 'em play.

Both can destroy a game. NBA has so many more calls and scores, with often a tiny margin for error ATS, that it's easier to manipulate on a consistent basis.

NFL I'm usually ok with. The zebras that piss me off the most are in the NBA and NCAAF.

NBA is worse because of all the "unwritten rules" for certain players!!

It's gotta be the NBA, because one of the refs was caught for game fixing.

I'd say that Coach and Katskale basically have it right.

It's not just because one ref was caught gambling and cheating. That could happen in any sport.

It's the institutional bias that is the question. It's been known for years that NBA let's top marquee players (like Jordan when he played) get by with violations that lesser players would get a whistle for.

Amd last year a top NBA player (was it Wallace?) accused the NBA of reffing Cleveland into the championship game, so they could show off their Jordan heir, LeBron.

NFL bias show up during playoffs, when they want the Hollywood teams in the Super Bowl. One poster month or so ago said their dream scenario would be Green Bay (Favre) vs New England (Brady and Undefeated).

Looks like they'll get their wish. Maybe with no help from the official on the field charged with carrying out the desired scenario.

Both have been filthy at times, NBA is more institutional (see teams down 2-0 in a 7 game series), whereas the NFL has high volume games with questionable officiating.
