1992 World Series (Game 3).....BlueJays defeat the Braves to go up 2 to 1 in the series. SkyDome was absolutely electric that night and though I am a RedSox fan since childhood, I'd love to see the Jays again become the powerhouse they once were, if only to watch baseball in that type of atmosphere.

That night Devon White made the best catch I have ever seen, and turned it into what should have been a triple play, but the bloody umpire clearly missed the tag for the third out.

I was at Game 7 of the 1987 world series not the greatest game but got to see the Twins win the championship at home and it was great fun in the streets after the game people going crazy.

I also was able to see the Penguins win the cup in game 6 in 1991 and skate it aroubnd the minnesota old met center ice , not a great game but cool to see that in person.

I have court side seats for the Celtics for Monday night. Never been that close before. So this will probably be the best game for me.

i hated that game, being a Braves fan and all.

best game for me was a high school football championship, St. X vs. Trinity in about 0 degree weather, 2 powerhouse schools going at it, for a St. X 3-0 victory. damn it was cold at that game.

Nuggets Sonics game 4 of round one in playoffs. Nuggets where the 8 seed and Sonics the 1 seed. I was about 11 years old and my mom was giving me beer in the nose bleed section. Nuggets went on to win.

let me give u another quick one.. does anyone remember the MISL indoor soccer league?

1987 the dallas sidekicks with TATU played the tacoma stars for the title .... the sidekicks won in double OT to force game 7 and they won game seven in tacoma in front a sold out 20k in ot..

what made the game so special was that the sidekicks trailed 3-1 with two minutes to go and came back to tie it then won in ot..

    and yes i was there

1995 Monday Night game in the Silver Dome.... Detroit played San Fransico who of course was the best team at the time and they beat them in a very close game... Herman Moore caught a TD and I think it went into OT and Detroit kicked a FG in OT to win... Loudest I ever heard a stadium that's why I like the Silver Dome... Man that place held 80+ and was loud as f*ck!

Great thread by the way MoFo...

Best "game" I ever saw was sometime in the 80's where Jimmy Key pitched against Dan Petry. They both had no hitters going into the 7th or 8th. Every pitch caused you to be on the edge of your seat. This was at the old CNE stadium before the skydome was built.

I could have been to the same game as stumpage, but that night my daughter was born so I gave my tickets to my brother. Missed out on it.

While I wasn't there the best "moment" I've ever seen is Kirk Gibson's hobbling home run for the dodgers to win them the world series. Beautiful baseball moment.

Orioles vs. Rangers in the 90's when there was a big brawl. Mussina hit Bill Hasselman in his second at bat. His first at bat, he hit a homer. The pitchers in the outfield bullpen were jumping from the outfield wall. That or some Andrew Golota fights. Not the one at MSG though.

The Giants-Titans game last year when the Giants led 21-0 . The Titans came back to win 24-21 after the Giant defender let go of Vince Young at that one drive.

Default It was just a meaningless midseason NHL game

It was a game between the old Minnesota North Stars and Montreal Canadiens at the end of the Canadians 1970's decade dynasty. It was the only time I saw Le Fleur play and he litterally was flying that night and I don't think any player today could skate that fast and LeFleur was a heavy smoker and drinker to boot.

That wasn't the real reason why the game was so good.It became an absolute all out brawl throughout the game where it made the movie Slapshot look like a pee wee hockey game. There were sometimes 4 or 5 fights at a time on the ice and the old met sports center in Bloomington,MN was covered with blood. The refs just threw up their hands and didn't even try to stop the fights because it was too far gone. That was when you could still have bench clearing brawls and not even get suspended for the next game.I think even the goalies got into it.I also think the Bloomington,MN cops got involved in matters after the game was over.Allot of goals were scored and the North Stars won on a late game goal. The arena was litterally rocking.
