I am not a big cat fan. Dogs are better and much more loyal.

BTW, which dogfood is better, Alpo or Pedigree?

Had 2 cats and 2 dogs at the house I grew up in and I will always like dogs way better, but Cats are ok. They dont really bother you they kinda just do their own thing. Overall I would say there pretty cool

every time I go in a dog owners house it smells of dog, they all say "my dog does not smell" but thats just because they are used to it.

    Cats win, end of thread.

I detest the things. Cats are feral. Even if they agree to let you live with them they are never "tame". They should live in the wild.

Dogs slobber, puke, shit, piss and otherwise befoul your home. They are dangerous if they snap. Cats win hands down.

Dogs 100%. What are the reasons you buy pets, usually for companionship, protection, or for your kids. Try telling your kids to go play with the cat out in the yard, or have your cat meow really loud and let you know someone is breaking into your home, then when that person gets in the house tell your cat to attack him while you grab your gun. Or maybe you are just bored so try taking the cat out to go play fetch or take him for a run. No contest for me, I love pussy, not cats!

only had 1 cat in my life when I was 11 or 12 years old. Since I was 6 months old I always had a dog. My favorite was my Terrier Mix his name was Mr Butter. I miss the guy had him 15 years he was my shadow and would go everywhere with me.

My vote is for Dog over Cat, As long as its a big dog not a mini dog. One that would protect you if you were ever attack in your own home not many cats can do that

I have both, 2 cats, 1 80lb dog, and 1 100lb wolf. The cats are no trouble at all,and we have had both of them over 10 years. The dog and wolf have both been housebroken since they were 3 months old so they arent any trouble either.

As far as the house stinking from dogs. Not if you dont have carpet it wont, we have ceramic tile throughout, and keep them off the furniture and the house wont smell . Number 1 rule about dogs, never ever feed them human food, and they wont get sick.

Neither of them is quality dog food, Id suggest Hills Science Diet dog food, its more expensive but has much higher % of the nutrients the animals need. I go through a 50lb bag a week and believe it runs us about $40 a week.

I can't agree more about all the points about cats... They are cleaner and more independent... They do their own thing and I think they are cuter then dogs... Dogs are so ugly that it's the animal used when insulting the way a human looks... She is "dog" ugly... I have never heard anyone use Cats in this manner and for good reason... Dogs are gross!

I have a cat and a dog, black lab. The cat is 5 years and the dog 3. The cat is a house cat and doesn't go outside. It is very independant. Personally I find it entertaining when we let the cat go on an upstairs deck. In the summer she lays underneath a chair and stalks birds. She taken a few out for good and I was able to rescue some though. The only things I don't like is when the cat is in heat. I could just talk and this cat will be rubbing up against me like a $2 whore. Also, the cat still has claws. There have been times where I'm standing by the bed and I'll feel a swipe of the claws. It scares the hell out of me since I haven't had pets up until recently.

Cats are a lot more fun to watch then dogs... Cats come up with some pretty interesting sh*t to entertain themselves..

I've seen Cats on a wooden floor get a running start and slide acrosed it... They are funny sometimes...

You can always smell a cat owners home......as soon as you walk through the door. Those litter boxes are terrible. Stupid pet in my opinion.

Haven't witnessed cat flap technology yet. All I know, is that every time I go to my buddies house it absolutely stinks. Nice house, very clean guy, changes the litter frequently. I also get cat hair on my clothes when I sit on his couch.

I prefer a dander free home.
