I guess it depends on what you mean by successful. Their ERA's would have been higher and their strikeout totals would have been lower just by virtue of pitching in the American League with the DH.
If by "successful" you mean how many games they each won... the short answer is it depends on what kind of teams they were on.
If they were on the NY Yankees of the 90's, then yes. If they were on the Tampa Devil Rays, then the answer is no.
