Just watched Even Money. Great gambling movie. They truly capture the cold path gambling can go. Only a real gambler that has lost can fully understand what is happening. Any thoughts if you have seen the movie. If not it is a must see.

There was an older movie with I believe Ryan O'Neal in it that was one of the best I ever saw. Can not remember the name though.


Fever Pitch was the movie I believe.

Exactly what I was thinking when she said it

Watched it last night; pretty good. Suprised a website critic rated it as a D movie. Wasn't top of the line, but still a decent watch. At first I thought Kim was going to annoy me how she was acting, but it played right into her character.

I would give it 3 stars (probably a 1/2 star bias of what it is about)

Those are my 2 favorite there is plenty of betting action in let it ride,its not a love story about a horse its about a man and all the characters around the track and the degenerate gamblers.

I searched for other interesting gambling movies that I have not seen. Probably will watch Owing Mahowny and Fever Pitch (if I can find it). I will recomend Even Money, Bookies, The Stu Unger Story, Rounders, and Two for the Money. Finders Fee is also good but it is mostly about a lottery ticket.

I hope they can make a true documentary about gamblers that throw everything away and ruin their lives. One that also captures the behind the scenes emotion and desparity pathological gambling can cause.
