Lines come out overnight...check out betcris.com or as you probably know damn near everybody has lines by 11am est. Print that out and check back from time to time up till game time. Depending on the sport...a .5 or 1pt movement is not significant either way. I think most of us agree that when a line moves dramatically it's best to either pass on the game or bet the opposite of the line move.

If you look at SBR Odds you will see lines from most of the top books, you will also see what the line opened at line. Movement is usually contributed to where the public is putting their money and books try to keep the action balanced by moving their lines. Line will also move due to weather, Injuries etc.

The Vig or "juice" can also be an indicator of potential line movement. If the vig is lop-sided or favouring on side over the other, their is the potential for the line to move in that direction in order to balance the action taken.

i don't know if its true, but generally i'm told that early movements tend to come from the sharps... that might be incorrect though

Go to Best bettor and click live lines. Then click the little number, this represents the number of line changes, for the book that you want and it shows all line movement. For previous day or older line movements hit past scores.
