Yo John- Good to see you. Like this place so far.

Screw Journeyman and his weak ass coments. Guy has a following cause he has people destroying him constantly. So much not like Mo where people come to come hang and talk with him cause hes good people.

Journeyman actually think he has a following cause he know the starting infield of the 92 pirates.

When you can name the all-rookie lineup for the Colt 45s, I will be impressed.

Congrats on your 1-0 record, timetopay. I just went 22-10 in the SBR office bowl pool and a couple of the guys are slow-paying me, can you believe it?

    Very good, nut.

Now for the bonus questions...and I'm sure that most of the answers are easily googled.

What else can you tell me about Aaron Pointer?

Which rookies were making their MLB debuts in that lineup?

Where was I sitting at Colt Stadium for that game?

    All-Rookies Lineup, 27 Sep 1963, average age - 19
Back (L-R): Brock Davis, Aaron Pointer, Jimmy Wynn
Middle: Glenn Vaughan, Sonny Jackson, Joe Morgan, Rusty Staub

That's right. He was also a longtime NFL ref after his baseball career and remains the last person to bat .400 in a full season US professional baseball league. Here's a LINK about his .400 season in 1961.

Dahl and Jackson were the two who made their MLB debuts that game. Many others, including Morgan, were just a few games removed from their MLB debuts. Sad tale on Dahl in that he was killed in a car wreck less than two years later up near Salisbury, NC, which was ironically where Pointer was playing in 1961 when he batted .402.

I was sitting with my pop in his company seats a few rows back of the Colt 45s dugout along the 3B line, by the way.
