HELP!!! God Damn Weddings are going to ruin my Saturdays this fall
What should I do...i have a few weddings this fall the first of which is September 10th...the same days as Texas/OSU and Notre Dame/scUM and another and now my girlfriend is talking about going to water parks, picnics, and her family events all on weekends.
It's not a big deal...except for i love to bet NCAAF and I am on underdog player and most times the best value for an underdog player is a few minutes before kickoff. Looks like i am in some trouble this fall

As men we certinally love the games and even more $banking on them but if we lose our family over it what is it all worth ?
I been at this well over 2 decades and have been able to get my long time wife involved by letting her do some email work, calling in plays, opening new accounts for us and the SMART part of it all collecting the money on Monday morning pay day!
Grin and BEAR it BUDDY, be a little smarter than she thinks she and it is sooo much better and relaxing and you WIN more $ cash !

I, too, have been very successful at getting my girlfriend interested in the things I love. "Sports Investment", however, is one thing that I just can't seem to get her hooked on. She'd probably be a big help too with an advanced degree in Math!

It's not that simple....the two weddings are one for her friend and one for my friend so that is even. But then the peripherial stuff I might be able to work around now that she found a job that looks like it is going to take up a lot of her Saturday's. But during the week, I am a student and teacher and have my hands full. So the wekend is the logical time to relax and relaxing to me is watching a game and having a beer and a snack. Relaxing to her is something different altogether.
SBR John--this is not a wife to be just a girlfriend. yeah it would suck to miss the Texas/OSU game and ND/MICH game which i am actually looking more forward to.

Put your bets down and go to the weddings and have a good time. Forget about the gambling for a couple of hours for crying out loud. Some things are more important! When I have days like weddings, funerals, family outings are just don't gamble or I bet it and check the score the next day so I can stay focused on what is more important, life!
