Default This movie looks rather interesting

    MIT Blackjack Team Movie "21"

    Here is what it's about:
A casino heist movie due in theaters March 28, he plays a man who leads six MIT students in an operation to count cards at various Vegas casinos, counting their way to millions of dollars.
Here is the trailer in case anyone wanted to check it out.

I'll bet all the people that have written books on card counting will be loving when this movie is finally released on March, 28. Because books sales will be huge.

I saw the preview to this movie when i went to see a movie a few weeks back. Needless to say it piqued my interest as i use to count cards a few years back. In the end, whether this movie is any good or not, it will be just like "Two for the money", all of us will check it out just to see what it's all about. So hopefully it will be worth it and not end up being too hollywood!

Good information to know. This movie will increase my income as I work in a casino. The rules have changed but thats not going to stop people from trying.

I just finished reading the paperback. It's a great story. Most of the characters in the book were Asian but no Asian actors in the movie.

Without looking too much into it and going by just what was posted, this sounds like an EXACT ripoff of the Canadian made movie "The Last Casino"(Which was excellent IMO).

EDIT: Just watched the trailer, and indeed, it's the exact same. It looks good, but already having seen The Last Casino all I'd be able to think about is how big of a ripoff it is.

    Sounds like it.

    Great book.

It definitely piqued my interest in blackjack at the time. I even took out a deck of cards to see if I could keep an accurate count of the 10's in the deck. Didn't take me long to realize I'm not going to be beating the blackjack tables any time soon.

The best part about the book is how organized the MIT blackjack teams were. These kids were operating very professionally. It doesn't suprise me that they pulled it off, for a while at least.

the show i seen on History channel or A&E channel about a MIT team was about some guy named Mr. M that started the team and they had investors and players, some of the players were a girl named Kate and a russian named Uri (?), basically players got payed money by the hour or session to follow the strategy, then Mr. M and the investors and players got payed a percentage of the profits for each quarter.
