Question Has there ever been Grade A sportbook ever disappear?

Has there ever been a incident where a Grade A sportbook hit rockbottom and now receives D's or F's? I might have heard BetRoyal was something like that. Does anyone know of any Grade A range sportbooks that have fallen from the face of the earth?

Yes- But new SBR rules permit me from revealing these books.

I don't know the answer, but I wouldn't doubt it if an A rated book had to be downgraded. Even A-rated stocks can take a nosedive in the NYSE or NASDAQ. There's no guarantees in life.

If you bet sports, you'll be better served with an A-rated book than an F-rated book, I'd imagine. The ratings here on SBR or elsewhere are just a guide. Nobody can predict the future.

How often have you done that yourself, AK? Have you got paid from SunsetSports and stopped your shilling?

In fact that statement is a bit like Hilter telling someone off for shortchanging a Jewish guy in the supermarket.

SBR ratings are good guide to go by although not perfect. We had another thread on this where I stated that one B rated book went down and one top 20 book, years back that I consider an A rated book. With all the books that SBR has rated and all the years they have been rating books that's really not a bad number.

No. No book that ever reached an A- rating has ever even slow paid.

BetPanAm reached B+ status before they started down. AcesGold was before the rating guide's creation and never broke into the top 10.

Since the SBR A+ to F- rating guide was published there has only been 1 B book that failed and zero A books.

Yep, Bluegrass is another that reached into B territory and then went out of business.

I'm amazed there have not been more. In the early years places like the Rx had 5 sponsor books a year go under on average. But in recent years there have been extremely few failures of top shelf books.
