oh wow, 30k would be pretty devastating, i just lost 2k on the jags game and am pretty bummed about it, thats i believe the 5th time ive ever fired in 2k, i think im 3-2 on the big bets for myself

$5K and won it. Don't recall the game exactly, but it was a college FB game where EVERY indicator pointed towards one side. I know it only covered by a small margin.
I immediately resolved to never wager that much again. $1K is my limit now.

I don't bet that heavy but my largest loss is $100 on Super Bowl game a few years back. My highest winnings that I have ever have before was $300 on a parlay that I won.

I put $2500 on a horse and it broke stride. The next week I went on vacation and it won at 11-1. I felt rather ill when I got back.

Just $500 for me and I won it. It wasn't even a bet on sports. Had an over/under with a friend about when our other friend would break up with his girlfirend. More entertaining then betting on sports with both of us trying to manipulate him to stay-in or break up the relationship.

I've bet 2k a few times. 1k a few games a yr. My normal bet is 100 to 300. Depends on the value in the line and of course, how much I am up or down. Thats what I need to work on. Not pressing when I get down.

I lost over $60K on a favorite ML once. When Ohio State lost to LSU I lost over $100K on futures bet, but it wasn't near that amount risked as I put the bet in preseason...

Close to $850 in one night, same night as the warriors game, the rockets jazz played before, I put 250 on I think the Rockets.

Warriors were 2 point dogs and i took them on the ML, made up for the juice

I hit a 10k tri, 8k tri, 7k tri, 5k tri and like 3 pic 3s over 3k. I have been doing horses over 20 years and that is the first and probably last time I ever have a night like that.

I turned $90 into almost $5K @ Matchbook in a few weeks during baseball last summer so I decided to "up the ante".

Biggest bet was $3500 last summer on Chicago White Sox (+140 dogs) @ Seattle.

Chicago scores a run in the top of the first and I start to feel good, bottom of the first Seattle scores SEVEN RUNS!! Needless to say, the wager was a loser. Now I usually bet between $100 - $1000 a game, usually lower bets and if I get on a roll I'll increase the bet size.

I hit a pick 4 back in 1999 that paid 15K, missed a 75K pick 6 by a nose, had the first 5 winners and got beat on the wire for it all, got 5 of 6 3 times, I would have taken the whole pool if I that horse would have held on to win.

This past summer on Queens Plate Day in Toronto, put $80 into my horse betting account, hit a pick 3 that paid $220, bet it into a couple more pick 3's , hit one for $2300 then had the next pick 3 TWICE! it paid $1850. I only played that day because the pools were huge due to all the occasional horseplayers that bet favs. Took a shot and got lucky.

4K on a Nets/Hawks game last year....I had Nets -1...they were losing by one with 14 seconds left...they score to go up by one with 7 seconds left...Hawks missed their last shot and Vince Carter gets fouled with no time on the clock...makes the first ft...misses the second one, but they win by 2 and I win my bet....if I could only be this lucky all the time...

Hollywood Park July 4th 2000. There was a filly that I'd been waiting for running in the middle section of the racing card. I invested about $150 starting with doubles in the race before one I was waiting for. I used four horses and found a $72.80 winner. I had the double working for $590.00 and pick threes off the ground. I bet win place,a cold exacta,tri wheel and rolling pick three.My filly popped the gate went from two to four in front at the top the lane, then lasted to win by a nose paying $26.80. I caught everything! I hit the pick three in the next race for $4400.00. All together I'd won $7400 in an hours time.I 'd love to do that one again.

Biggest bet and biggest win in same game...

$5,500 to win 5K on the UNDER in the Tennessee/Rams Super Bowl. Thank God for "one yard short", because game would have gone Over in overtime. I believe the total was 48, and final was 23-16.
