Default Obama -140 to win the Demo nominee?? WTF?? Got to be a way to cash this.

2008 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION - DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE

    15951 HILLARY CLINTON +105 - -

    15952 BARACK OBAMA -140 - -

    15953 AL GORE +2200 - -

    15954 JOHN EDWARDS +1500 - -

    15955 BILL RICHARDSON +5000 - -

    15956 THE FIELD +3300

I'd throw out Obama, Gore, Richardson and The Field.

That leaves Edwards and Hillary. Not sure how to play this. Think I'll throw $300 on Hillary and $100 on Edwards. Anyone have anything on this?

Dude I agree! I actually set out to find the best odds on the Presidental election when I ran accross that gem. Edwards might have a shot but Hillary and Obama are boring pet rocks with no expierence.

It will be a sad sight for the US if any of those Republicans becomes president.

although john mccain is my favorite candidate, it would scare me if he won. he's too pro-bush pro iraq war....if huckabee or good looking mitt romney wins, the democrats have no shot...

Edwards doesn't have any more experience than either of them.

I don't really care about experience, nothing really prepares someone for being president of the US.

I'm disgusted with the office of president right now. I think we'd do better just leaving it vacant next term.

president's get too much credit & too much blame. it's congress that really has the power. if congress is letting the president do dumb things, well they are just as wrong as the president.

Playing Edwards at this point is a waste of $$. Hillary at those odds isn't a bad value, although I still think Obama will win and got him at +225 few days before Iowa. It's weird that Obama was 5% points ahead of Hillary leading up to the caucus and was still at +225 but when he won Iowa he is now at -140. You gotta figure he will win New Hampshire with all the Independent voters coming out too support him. I think he will have a great shot to win the Presidency. Not sure why in the polls Democrats seem to think Hillary is more electible. The Republicans want her to win because they have to like their chances against her. Obama will beat any of the Republican in my opinion except maybe Guliani.
The Republican side is a mess and has no front-runner at this point so probably could get some good value bets in there.

this country will never elect a democrat until a big time candidate steps up. no one trusts democrats right now with the state of this country. america will not vote in a black/arab or female, and is not ready for that.

If you want to take Edwards you can get him at +11815 at the greek as he is now considered in the dreaded "other" category

I disagree but understand your point. I think Hillary has no chance because she is so polarizing and Republicans will run on the premise that "we can't let Hillary into office" which is probably enough to get them into office.
With Obama that will only work in the Red States and I would expect Obama to win almost everywhere else except those Red States. The only place America will not vote for an African American is in the South. Iowa and New Hampshire are 95% white and they are voting for him in record turnouts.

This is ridiculous, but coming from you not too surprising. The Republicans have pulled an amazing propaganda coup in picking up uneducated middle class religious folk, when their agenda doesn't help these people at all.

Also, Obama is a Christian and an American, stop spreading bs.

I'd be ashamed to live somewhere that in this day and time isn't ready to elect a woman or a black man as president.

So, if Hilary wins, you are going to move to a far more liberal country than the one you'd be living in?

That makes no sense at all.

it's one thing to vote for him in now, as opposed to 9 months from now. repub's will expose him and realize that he wants to turn this country into canada. although there is a lot of people that are against the iraq war, nearly everyone thinks we should have presence in there for a while. obama wnats everyone out within a yr or 2. obama will never win. period.

i understand what you are saying but those countries are established, there's a difference. i feel that the country would not be save with either one of them in office. look what happened the last time a clinton took office?? he got our trade towers knocked out because he didn't react when he was given credible information.

    Remmy,
What Republican you think has best chance to win. They all have their flaws even within their own party. McCain and Huckabee on immigration, Guliani and Romney are both flip-floppers on gay rights and pro-choice issues.

That's an interesting opinion I've rarely heard before seeing as GWB had been president for 9 months on 9/11.

The Clinton years were a much better time for our country than the Bush years and I'm not particularly a fan of the Clintons.

LOL are you serious? exactly, 9 months. considering they had been plotting the WTC attacks for ALL of clinto's administration. are you aware that clinton was offered bin laden by the sudan but said "no thanks"? he even admitted it was a huge mistake of his.

before clinton took office the country was headed for an economic boom, it didn't matter who took office...and we were in a recession/starting to recede when clinton left office. it's called economics.

and this election it will be because they are trying to get a black/woman in office, which isn't going to happen. period.

even clinton contributes economics to the reason why america's econcomy boomed during his years. he takes credit for other areas such as welfare, etc.

some people don't understand economics and it's hilarious to hear them talk about how clinton made the USA boom...lol...clinton had some good policies but you could have put in beantownjim and the country would have boomed.

i refuse to discuss this any further.

    Have fun in Canada buddy.

I've spent a lot of time hating democrats and disliking liberals and swore I would never vote for either.

Obama won me over big time. I don't care if its smoke and mirrors either, I really don't. I feel there is nothing to lose at this point and him winning now is about principle. The message about money and special interests and other things controlling the county and not the people is true. The fact we are tyrannized by our dependency on oil is true. There is a lot of big fights that have needed to be fought for a long time - and perhaps there is not a chance but people uniting to ignore smear campaigns, big policts etc to elect some well spoken senator with a positive message yet a funny name, black skin and other negative things people want to say about him sends a strong message about what might be possible for the future.

I'm so sold I am doing my part as much as I can now. I'm assisting a lot of young republicans to change voter registration to independent so they can vote in democratic primary and then have follow up letters being sent and to be sent as a reminder of the primary and their importance to turn out.
The receptiveness is like nothing I've seen before. People are getting excited and are excited about telling others as well.

Obama will be under major attack more and more as time passes but I believe he will be elected in the end.

Whatever he might accomplish or might not accomplish in office matters only some. The spirit and enthusiasm in which he gets elected has the power to carry over into other things and to hopefully and most likely carry over into starting battles that have needed to, yet never were likely to be, fought that are long overdue.

    Go Obama!!

Stay right where you are,we don't need your kind here!!,Canada is NOT this all white racist society that what you think it is,we are a pluralistic,multi-cultural & MULTI-RACIAL society and proud of it.
You have a problem with obama because you are a racist, don't speak for all americans.
Height years ago and also in 96 polls showed that Collin Powell would have been elected not just by blacks but also by a majority of white males across party lines. However mrs Powell refuse to be part of this because of individuals like yourself whom send to HER racist hate mail, that shook her so much she threaten to divorce her husband if he went through it .
You don't need to leave the United States just search the net you will find plenty of area within your own land where you can find others like yourself and be completely isolated from the rest of humanity.
