Default I'm not kidding.. read this thread or you get the f\*\*k out of here!

Guys, gambling can be a destructive force in your life. I want you to consider one simple rule. Do not expose more than 10% of your gross pay to gambling. And I'm talking ALL forms of gambling.

Here is what I used to do and it worked great. At the start of each year I would fund my Neteller with 10% of my previous years pay. Then I would never touch it until after the Superbowl. This forces discipline and makes life easier too.

I'm the worse at taking advice but I'm going to ask you and even beg you to please consider this method. If you have another method to limit exposure to gambling please share it.

If you ever need someone to talk to write or call me or Bill.

What if all your income comes from gambling?

John's advice is definitely sound for any player who has yet to find a niche. Once a player has figured out and proven to himself that he has something that works, then hammer away.

For a great overall financial philosophy read, "The Richest Man in Babylon". It's a classic.

I agree with this advice 100%......Gambling can be fun and profitable BUT it can also cause MAJOR problems in your life if you're not very careful......

    Be disciplined
Don't bet with money you don't have
    and DON'T chase losing bets!

I don't think all the money for the whole year at the beginning of the year is realistic. Most players will go crazy at some point and then all that money is gone for the year. Maybe put whatever amount you decide on (10% of monthly income or less) every month into Neteller or ** to books and then do the same thing every month whether up or not. 99% of players are going to lose long term straight up and 95% when figuring in promotions, so don't think you can beat the system just because of one good month or year.

It just goes right back to money management. If people cant control themselves they wont last to long doing this. No matter what you start with. So until people learn to control themselves and their wagers, we will still see the horror stories of people going broke gambling, or even worse.

But to have a set amount for the year is a start, and most should follow that. And just bet 2% to 3% on each game, and dont chase your losses.

This really is strong advice especially this time of year. Don't go overboard on the Super Bowl where a loss can affect your life. I'm sure that we've all seen problem gamblers.

This can lead to things that a person normally wouldn't do such as stealing. It can ruin relationships and families. If you do have a problem you should talk to someone such as John or Bill. As John stated do not even look at the forums if you are having problems and need to quit.
