Since the holidays, we've had an influx of newbies and I welcome them in this thread (one-time, not several shout outs). But I think I can easily divide them into two camps--homos and homies (if you're both, you're a "Yo-Mo").

The Homos: Two new avatars to tease. The bronze adonis, with the dumbest threads, and the smiley queer who looks like he's measuring some guy's dong. He even has his face damn near it like he wants to give a hummer.

The Homies: More productive, but still getting settled. Every day is "props" to a newcomer. Hey, I'm just looking for insight on props in general. Perhaps each to his own.

I guess my point is that this is still a Sports Forum, not a Gay Bar or the 'Hood. In the past few days, almost half the threads have been about anything but sports. If that's the direction you're going fine, just say so. And I stray often too, but I see a disturbing trend. Let's keep this mainly a Sports Forum.

Says the newbie himself. Does it really matter? I'm sure SBR welcomes the additional members. If you don't want to read the thread don't open it, it's pretty simple actually.

90% of the main page is sports, thats more than most and it should be enough. all of the individual sports forums have 100% sports from what ive seen. lots of new guys have been signing up, that will slow down shortly. no one intends to bother you, the new guys are all gamblers and sports people. lots of different personalities and lots of active posters.

I see more sports related threads than ever which is great.If you consider the bateman bashes or"would you eat her or beat her" threads sports related,then I guess you look at things through a different light.There are people coming in here that have some insight and some good info,just give it a chance.

This group of 12 year olds move from forum to forum poisoning good boards. I have seen their act at the RX and the EOG. It gets old in a day and when their antics start getting them in trouble, they leave.

The forum is more active now, that's a good thing. I think some people, including myself, just were a little curious about the motives of all the new blood coming here seemingly at once from other boards.

I don't have any problems with them, if you're treated with respect do the same, no one is forcing you to shake hands, but threads like this don't really accomplish much. It really just takes away from the kind of discussion you're wanting to see more of, like tonights bowl game for example.

I like VT by the way.
