    Default logic poll

pretty bored waiting for the tennis game to start, so here is a poll.

Team A is the best scoring team in the nation. They have the best QB, back up QB, and three RB that are going to be first round draft pick.

    Which is more likely?

I know it's a stretch Jamie but I"d make a guess he's talking about American Football. The kind of football "real" men play. Not the run around diving hoping to give my opponent a red card football.

Now on a serious note: Who are they playing? We know we have the number 1 offense, but what is the defense like?

Yank chaseball is the most brain numbingly boring game known to humanity. Just to show I'm not anti-yank, I do like Ice Hockey quite a lot.

Well they didn't use to wear all this padding back in the day either... There was no face masks at one point but we like our teeth here in the US...

They added all of these penalties and padding for a reason..

Sorry, Jaime, but as a sportswriter for many years of a wide variety of sports, soccer is definately the most brain-numbingly boring game known to humanity.

Not in $$$. Baseball and it's fan-gear makes the most money of any professional sport by far. And, try and get someone in the US to pay anywhere from $85 to thousands of dollars to watch a soccer match

And the yanks are where the money's at, sweets. Just ask the players in the NFL, MLB, NBA, etc.

It's not to most of the world because they don't know any better... If I spent most of my life staring at paint drying on a wall for entertainment that's all I know....

It may not be boring to them but to say it is better (which you did not say) because most of the world likes it is ridiculous.

Who`s to say which is better, football(soccer as you call it)is a more popular sport the world over.A fact i don`t need to prove. When it comes to sport i will watch anything within reason from beach soccer to beach volleyball to winter sports.

Better is relative I would agree but let's be straight here... Most of the world could not understand football if they tried.. People here have been watching it for years and still have no idea on the x's and o's although it's getting better..

I talk x's and o's to my dad (he also thinks soccer is king) who has been watching football for 30 years and he looks at me like I am explaining differential equations to him...

The world is very simple minded and soccer is a very simple sport... I do not agree that soccer is the most boring... I would rather watch that then chess, poker, fishing, or gulf... I would NOT watch it over the college national cheerleading finals though or of course football and basketball...

To be fair and objective to everyone soccer is the most popular sport in the world and the most boring, played by a bunch of girls and watched by morons.

Highest paid player in soccer: David Beckham $50 mill over 5 years = $10 mill a year.

Highest paid player in MLB: Alex Rodrigues: 28 mill for 2007 season.

Highest paid player in the NFL: Dwight Freeny: 72 mill over 6 years = $12 mill a year.

Highest paid player in the NBA: You'd have to go all they way down to No. 42 to find someone who would accept Beckham's salary.

Point in fact: There is no NFL, MLB or NBA all over the world - just in the US - if there was, anyone of those three sports would bury soccer. As Sham's said, if you've just been watching paint dry then soccer is "exciting," by comparison. But, by monetary comparison, no soccer player is making the money of the players in other sports - including golf!

By the way I voted "Team A" wins... My reasoning was you tried to pull a "US Media" on us by throwing out the fact about scoring, the qb, rb, and all that other sh*t..

That would impact the normal person's perspective I would think...

It doesn't matter how much they score unless they don't kick ANY FG's.. The chances they win are better just because they can win with a FG alone... If you are a Browns fan you would know this right off the bat no matter how "tarded" you are...

Yes american sports stars are paid more as individuals, that wasn`t in question.I said that football(soccer as you call it)is the biggest sport the world over, you haven`t dissproved it yet,nor will you.If you want to compare American sports to English sports then there is no comparison, but alas you missed the point of what i initially said, because all you can see is America is better.Take your blinkers off.

Biggest sport the world over? How? Where's your facts? hard numbers?

And remember, part of my point was that people all over the world can't attend NFL, MLB, or NBA games because they are unavailable - so don't use attendance in your arguement, as it is comparing apples to oranges.

    For 2007 ...

    http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Who_is_the...yer_in_the_NFL

However, you have to factor in that he got 30 mill of his 72 mill in 2007 and the remainder of 42 mill will come across the next 5 years.

AGAIN.. SOOOOOOOOO WHAT... That is all they know... Can you get a blind person to understand what is it like to see..?

I tried that point with my mom once.. "but all the other kids have one mom"...and she said "if all the kids jump off the bridge does that mean you are going to do it too..?"

    Popularity? Try cheap.

Impoverished kids in third-world countries don't play stickball in the mud because it's popular - they play it because it's all there is and all they can afford.

Other countries don't have the NFL, MBL, NBA, etc., because they can't afford to, not because it wouldn't be popular.

Do the math, Vanman - "popularity" is always about the almighty dollar.
