Default Handicappers to avoid

Just want to hear what people have to say about handicappers they have run into.
I personally haven't found one that can keep up with their promises. I have followed some sites upto a year, and then quiz them about the past and then they stop emailing me back once they they know I have caught them red handed.

Also, if you have any sites you would like me to look into, I would gladely do it.

Here are some sites I have come across:

www.ATSHandicappers.com : they post that their players hit 60%, but wont release their picks right after the game has started so "guests" can view their picks. Plus you buy by the game; can't buy a month/week/ of picks. Which makes it really easy for them to post that they won a game for the that day if no one buys that game.

There are a few out there that quote over 70% for their best picks.

Is there a registry where they have to send their picks? Otherwise it is flat out fraudulent and should be looked into by the proper authority.

Not many stock market advisors would get away with making such claims.

Your better off staying away from touts...

You have a better shot in the long run just picking a sport and working hard on finding your own information.

Im sure most of the guys here will tell you the same thing.

Get good info and make informed decisions.

I used 2 touts when I got into this game. One was a shitty backyard operation which was good for a couple of weeks then went south at a rate of knots. The second was one of the more well known operators.

I thought it was a good educational tool. I would always go through the games myself and have my selections before I received the plays. More often than not I had selected the same as the touts which to me, said I was on the right track. The plus side was often I got the better odds if I made my bets early rather than waiting for the touts. We all know how much .5 can screw a play up.

I learnt a lot from the service the second tout provided. I am no longer a paying customer but my 6 month subscription was a good option IMO.

There have been some good ones on the forums over the years..i don´t follow any picks, but it is nice to get opinions in from guys that know their shit. Of course most of the cappers that actually post are worthless.

I'm just wondering if there is someone out there that has actually beat the books. or is 52%<* impossible.
Lots of people say they do it online, but I trust people online as far as i can spit, and my friends as far as I can bite.

Can anyone list sites/touts they have used that are fakes/frauds?

Good point

Using the touts for info or to match your own games is not a bad habit.

The inportant thing is to your own work. Matching after that makes your decisions stronger if the tout is legit with good info

Good luck Eidolon

I really had no idea what I was doing originally but after a while my tips seemed to be very close to my touts and he did have a good percentage. I weaned myself off it and now I can put the money used for that service into my betting account so I highly rate my time with the services of a tout.

2 more I followed:
usasportsnetwork.com I followed him for a season, and recorded all his picks in NCAAF and NFL, he didnt post his season record till about 6 months later, and he said he did 57% in NFL and 63% in NCAAF. It was actually 47% and 51%.

www.professionalgambler.com Although he does have a lot of information, his picks aren't that good. It says they will get 80-240 units a year. I followed them for 2 years: 12 units and -32 units.

more to come. Any you guys want me to follow?

Yeah wouldn't mind the stats on NSAwins.com actually.

It's beyond me how they can actually sell a service that is flat out fraudulent!

How about madwinners.com? I heard the 3 clowns that own that site on a radio show this morning. They said $100 players average over $1500 a month.

OK I'll follow: www.NSAwins.com and www.madwinners.com for the next 3-6 months, and report back here.

Don't believe the stats on NSAwins home page. They may have some short term successes but over the longer term they average 50 - 52 % (in the past). If you've already signed-up it will be interesting to see if this is still the case.

I received this from Sportsbooknews info.. maybe this Campanella guy should be avoided...I have not played there but not sure I would do to the conflict

Lazerwager.. we initially heard good things about these guys due to what seemed to be strong management (former Nine.com execs) and solid ownership. Our inside sources now tell us that in fact just the opposite is true. The initial mangement team has left, the owners are not in fact UK based as previouly reported, but are the same owners of previously failed sportsbook sexywagers.com, which we warned our clients about last year right before they folded. Our sources tell us that the book is now being run by a handicapper known as "The Iron Horse"..(an internet search turns up the name to be Carlo CAmpanella). We see this is as conflict of immense proportions for any Iron Horse clients. How can a handicapper be running a book when his job is to beat the book? Very Odd indeed..We also hear that the company continuously late pays its staff in cash and has not paid its affiliates, marketing or advertising guys yet. This is a real bad situation for a new sportsbook to be in after only a few months of operating. This clearly means that they are severely underfunded. We are trying to get one of our spies in there to see if we can issue a new recommendation. Therefore, we urge extreme caution in dealing with them and to get your money out immediately just to be safe until they prove themselves by paying out other players. So as of now we consider them extremely High Risk. We actually like their site though.

Actually some touts that are really bad are useful. Look at their plays. If your capping led you to the same plays as say a Stu Fiener then scratch it. Its square and you are going to lose more of those than you will win.
