The older I get the less enthusiastic I am about partying on New Year's Eve. Used to dig New Orleans or Vegas for New Years ... now, like last night, it's all about trying to stay awake until midnight.

Here in Costa Rica, it's basically impossible to NOT wake up at midnight on New Years ... the entire Central Valley goes off like World War III when the clock strikes 12:00. Even the smallest, poorest-looking homes are shooting off fireworks from the street and/or their backyards ... the whole valley for 360 degrees stays lit up for a good solid hour, if not longer. Definitely one of the better "amateur" fireworks displays you'll see.

But, that was about it ... couple of drinks with the better half, watch some football, and fight to stay awake until midnight. Hopefully you guys brought in the New Year with a bit more excitement. Let's hear some wild stories ...

Me and my girlfriend went out to dinner and then watched "to catch an online predator" all night!!....We LOVE that damn show!....The facial expressions on those losers face when Chris Hansen walks around the corner is priceless!!!

Had 4 guys over, older guys and we played cards. I beat this guy that was 80 for $4500 and he claimed I cheated. Well a fight developed and I buried him. The other guys just left. I was a crazed animal against this guy, initially he got a few shots in but I ended up winning and keeping the $4500.

Well early that day, I watched on my phone as Air Force and the Pacers both choked to lose their games and my wagers.

Then I was at the bar watching the Bowl games, and thinking to myself that my Bowl bets are sucking this year. Well I ended up leaving to go home about 10pm and I past out before midnight. Woke up around 3am, then said fcuk it and went back to sleep.

New Years is losing its flare to me.
