Anyone want in my diet support group?
Its a 3 month 90 day diet. Today is weigh in day and Day 1.
We (actually its just me) are going to lose 9 pounds in 90 days. We (again, me) are going to cut out snacks and fast food, eat like a normal human and get some exercise EVERY day.
Anyone? You have to be serious to join us (me).

Sure, I've cheated a lot around the holidays, probably put on 10 or so lbs and feel like a slob.
I'm getting back to my normal schedule now and limiting the cheating back to 1 meal a week on cheat day.

what are you at right now, height and weight? thats a diet that can actually stick. gl to you john on the diet and keeping those 9lbs off afterwards. 9 lbs in 90 days doesnt necessairly even require a change in your diet if you were to add a slightly larger dose of cardio to your days. 9lbs will fall off a lot of people quickly if they change the diet and add exercise.

sounds like a good weight to me. in your case the 9 would obviously be more difficult to lose than for most. im 5-10 216 and want to be around 205....so my goal is fairly similar to yours. i want to keep lifting heavy which can make it harder to lose weight, but it can be done obviously.

I say I am 6'2'' but really an inch shorter with shoes off, athletes lie all the time so don't hold it against me guys.
I am around 219lbs. I was much heavier last year, around 260+. Only difference this year is I'm going to focus even more on upper body stuff, you can add weight in the form of muscle, I wanted to hit an even 200 but sometimes you can tell when you're fighting your body to hit a certain weight you should probably just maintain your healthy cycle and not push it.
So going to add some bulk this year and get on a few different programs, eating healthy is a big part of that but I can cheat like a slob once a week so long as I take care of business through the week. Sunday's rock for that very reason. Good luck fellas

I've been living on a steady diet of Lean Cuisines, fruits and vegetables, and Slimfast Monday thru Saturday. I don't go over 1900 calories in one day. Even on cheat day, I make sure I don't go over about 3200 calories.

I'm 6'1 220, and if i quit smoking, like i said i would, I'll gain 9 lbs in less then 90 days, and exercise ain't an option for me, I'm too lazy.
So John, good luck to you, my azz will just stay fat and out of shape.

This is probably a good idea that is productive for longterm health John. I'm personally finishing off some holiday Godivas, and will get back to you about this diet idea after I polish off the next box or two

I was 245 at my worse in 04.
The best thing is going from pants size 42 to now 36. Its a smug 36 though.
Like a poster already mentioned I did the slimfast thing too. It does a decent job. I was fast walking 45 mins a day.
This time around I think Im going to golf an hour a day or shoot baskets. Also thinking about doing just a few situps a day. Thinking maybe 30? (Im 48)

I've dropped 30 lbs in the past six months. The basic plan was to move more and eat less. Lots of exercise.Swimming and spin classes. IT can be done if you stay the course. g.l.

That's awesome. Try not to lose the weight too fast though, it has a way of coming back on strong if you slip up for a bit.
On my good weeks I have a cheat day a week also, for a while I didn't but I'd go crazy without an unhealthy meal to look forward to.

what is the whole slim fast thing. Never done/tried a slimfast type program. But Normally I skip breakfast or eat something quick like a bacon/egg/cheese crossaint (terrible I know).
So give me an ideal breakfast/lunch with the whole slimfast thing?
I do know if you try to do the atkins diet expect to gain weight when you go off it. Basically your starving your body of carbs so it burns them. Is what happens though is your body when it starts to get the carbs back (when you go off of it) It immediately is like oh my god all this food I'm not use to. It immediately starts storing the carbs again. Which is why you gain weight when you go off it.
tried the atkins/south beach thing didn't work for me.

Skipping breakfast is the surest way to gain weight. You will be devouring food the rest of the day (also don't eat just prior to bed). Have a sensible breakfast like whole grain toast, cereal and fruit. I have better than half of my daily calories for lunch and then a 500-700 calorie early dinner (5-6 pm).
PS Slim Fast never worked for me when trying to lose weight. I was always hungry and cheating on my diet.

That's solid advice HedgeHog. I have two scoops of natural peanut butter before bed only.

I have five meals a day. I eat a Special K granola bar and apple for breakfast, a Slimfast at 10, 2 Lean Cuisine entrees at lunch, another slimfast mid afternoon, and then 2 more Lean Cuisine entrees with a can of green beans for dinner. Altogether that ranges from 1800-2000 calories. For exercise I walk at least 2 miles a day and go 15-20 minutes on my exercise bike. As my stamina increases, I'll increase the physical activity.
