    Hi,

    I'm new to the sports betting game and I am seeking a little guidance. Are there any books/articles/websites/threads that I should look into?

    Any info would be most appreciated.

    i have no info for you, but i am looking into the same thing.
    They told me there are some great cappers here, and to follow their lead, but, i'm waiting to find them.
    I think from reading past threads i have a good idea.

    First off, Welcome to the SBR forum Johnny

    The SBR forum should pretty much offer you everything you need really. My suggestion would be to use the search button.

    If you are serious about trying to maximize your profit potential. Then I would suggest getting a book called "Sharp Sports Betting" by Stanford Wong.

    I had heard that Stanford Wong's book was good. Some people said it was a little outdated but I'm sure it is good.

    I would say that SBR's posting strength isn't necessarily a group of people who know that team A will beat team B by more than 5 1/2 points tonight, although certainly some are better than others at doing that.

    I would say that SBR's posting stength is that there are people who know how to take advantage of / exploit, the weaknesses or soft spots of the offshore industry for profit. It's more subtle and sophisticated, sort of like a blackjack player taking advantage by counting cards. If that's the kind of things that interests you, then read along for awhile, I'm pretty sure your bankroll situation will improve if you do. If you're looking for some handicapping whiz to lead you to riches, that may work out for you, or it may not.

    Mr. Wong also has a web site by the same name if you care to check it out. Google is your friend in this BTW, just take most things you read with a grain of salt.

    I've been a reader of this site for a while now. Read the articles this site has to offer and then read as much as you can in the threads. There are plenty of good free resources on the web so spend a bit of time going through relevant sites.

    Curious is just frustrated. Despite what SBR has done for him (i.e. SBG), he insists on being a prick.

    PS JD-mentioning Wong suggests that you are not a novice. Follow Ganch and him and you'll be a winner in no time.
