Default What do you do when you screw up?

and you bust your bankroll, because you were stupid and bet too much on one game. I guess you reload but it doesn;t feel very good, its depressing.. I have learned my lesson no more than 1% of my bankroll.

Make it your new years resolution to be more controlled. Screwing up never feels good, but everyone screws up in some way or another, especially financially, so don't be too hard on yourself bud.

I can't imagine betting only 1% of my bankroll... Obviously I had done what you are saying many times and yeah it's depressing as f*ck...

I get pissed and b*tch at myself...then I go to sleep...

There's no point in dwelling on it. That's gambling. You live, you learn. Nobody's perfect. Mistakes happen. It's better to move on and let the past be the past. Good luck!!

I wish I could reload. I messed up.

    My **** balance: 5000 maxed.

    My bank account: 6 dollars.

I had enough in betED+betUS to cover it 1 week ago today. I lost 5000 this week because I'm an idiot.

This happens to me all the time and I just have no discipline. I throw away what I worked hard for, because when I'm up I decide to bet way over my head on 1 game, and it always loses. Then the tailspin starts.

If I think I am playing an advantage game I rebuild my bank. But before I play again I analyze what happened to see what went wrong and I try not to make the same mistakes again.

I would say that the number one mistake that gamblers make is overbetting their bank.

Last night I said : **** it, i'll deposit 1 more time, and strictly tail LT Profit's plays, because he seems to know his shit.

He only had 6 plays last night, so I bet all 6, and was left with 300 --- and i bet it all on a stupid 1st quarter NBA total, which of course lost. LT went 2-4 on his 6 plays, I went 1-4-1 because of different lines -- Anyway - I had 350 left in my account after the 7pm games - and just bet it all on a 2 team parlay because I'm impatient + anxiety. Not a good combo for a gambler.

Default 2 Pac I have -100 in the bank

    2 Pac,
Write down your mistake on paper and post it above your computer, and everytime you want to make a big bet read it. Obiviously you know what your doing or you would never build it up in the first place, you just need to overcome that tendency we all have them. Calling your self an idiot only makes it worse. If you were an idot you would not have made the 5K..take care

I made the same mistake last night. I had 16 5% bets stretched over different games. I lost the first 6 and the next few weren't looking too good, so I said "The hell with it!", and bet everything else on the Over for the Nuggets/Blazers game. Of course, they didn't make it. It came out that I won the last few games, plus 2 parlays. If I hadn't thrown that money away on the last game, I would have been ahead yesterday. Trust me, that will NEVER happen again!

Default Guranteed way to ensure you don't make stupid mistakes

In order to ensure that you don't make any stupid mistakes, just let you wife/girlfriend or (wife AND girlfriend) know that you are betting. Then every ****ING day, your wife/girlfriend will nag the shit out of you, "how much did you bet yesterday? how much did you win?...what, you LOST? ARE YOU CRAZY...no pussy for you for the next week". AFter a few weeks of not getting any you will become VERY disciplined in your betting.

I'd love to do that, but my wife thinks I'm doing this for "entertainment purposes only". She has already told me that she is gone if she catches me wagering. Of course, she tells me she's gone if I do just about anything anyway.

I would love to book many posters action, way too many guys going all in on a game and I have no clue why. I wonder why books clean up.

If you have $1000 in your account the most you should bet per game is $40 yes I said 40. This will cover you when you hit losing streaks and you do not go bankrupt.

If a woman told me that I would help her pack and wish her lots of luck in her future endeavors.

Pride is the biggest downfall of a gambler.

When they lose a game they felt they should have won, they will get out of control with their betting to try to prove they are smarter than the books.

Most everyone is correct here, those loosing streaks can be brutal, I see I didn't use correct money management. Like evryone has been saying the books clean up because people like myself keep busting out because we bet too much in realtionship to our bankroll. That's why the anxiety starts and we say the hell with it, I am all in!

I can't agree and associate with this thread more... It's so easy especially when you hit so many in a row to say f*ck it I am going to bang this one and it losing... I was chatting with "curious" today and I told him... "I like this under second half for UCLA.. if I take it talk me out of doing stupid sh*t like putting a sh*t load on it.." I was a good boy and put what I was supposed to... It figures it won and I can't stop second guessing myself...

You all are totally right in your statements...
