Default People need to keep it real here

Many people on this forum act like they win big $$$$$$, since only about like 5% of the public wins in the long run and SBR forum is lucky to see .00001% of sports gamblers out there I highly doubt we have many of those people.

You can talk all you want, but you got to walk it bitches.

Many thanks for raising this important issue. After I finish my horse meat stew and vacuum the foyer, I will give it the considered response deserved.

do people keep their records here? i think a big problem many online gamblers have is playing more little parlays than they claim to. i think more people are taking more shots than they admit. every once in a while you see someone come on telling the world he hit a 6 or 8 teamer....but you never hear anyone telling us about them before the launch. I dont think a winning percentage in ncaab/ncaaf/nfl of 54% is something that only 54% here can make happen. i think its poor money management issues for most.

Dont I wish I have lost my ass this year worst year ever as I have posted many times. Usally in a bad year ill lose between 750-2000( thats all year football sept. thru jan. ) in a good year ill win maybe 500-1500 dont think ive ever stayed above 1500 to end a year ( football is about all ill bet little BBall usally in march but love football) last year i didnt have any back to back losing weeks(last year up about 1000) this year ive only picked up 3 times all year and those were small weeks ive droped off the other 13 or so a few have been big for me.Three weeks back lost 1575.oo worst single wk ever. This wk it was 985.00. Now down about 6500.00 for year. I really enjoy gambing on football especially collage but this is alittle more than i had in the budget for football this year. I probably keep playing bowls and playoffs pretty hard this year maybe get a little of it back,(to night I won 2 units on sprotsgirl's Pitts. Steelers and 2 units on navy maybe this is start of a hot streak) if not its only money have no pipe dreams about getting it all back i've been betting on football close to 20 years I gave up on big come backs long ago i reallize that this very small for you high rollers. Next year i think ill bank roll about 2500.00 when its gone quit or play to end football and cash out!! See I use local book and play wk to wk anyways you dont have to worry about me on W/L record usally im losing! and dont care to tell it!! I gamble because i enjoy it and yes i do enjoy it alot more when i win or at least i did back when i would actully win ever once in awhile. Well GL to all this Bowl season. Hopefully we can all cash in and no one will need to over inflat that win record!!!!!!! again GL to all

I would guess money management is the reason why alot of people on here lose.

Money management is on the lower end of most of these people's problems. Making a series of -EV bets would be number 1.

This is the reason why I dont post my picks ... Dont want anybody thinking that I am a liar ... all I care about is having fun at the forum and checking my account next day after my wagers are made. Keep it real and simple

Which I'd have to classify as very poor money management.

Nevertheless, calling poor money management the ultimate downfall of most unsuccessful bettors is a little like calling death the ultimate downfall of most successful suicides.

You are correct, of course, but that was not the way MJF was using the term "money management".

    5%??? Try less than 1%.

I also think you are short changing SBR on how much traffic they receive, but that is off the point.

The fact of the matter is that winning players do not seek attention or brag about wins because they don't need to. The satisfaction and more importantly, the money, that comes from being a consistent winning player is more than enough. Who really cares if anyone knows about it?

    FWS,

Define your population for the x% figure. Are we talking about people who take sports betting seriously, people who bet regularly or anyone who has ever placed a bet?

MJF, our resident boy "genius", asking us to keep it real; anyone else see the irony. Tell me again how you hit 57% long term (you have a long term?).
