Anyone get a Christmas bonus at work this year?
I work for a small firm, they sprung a bonus on us today with 1K checks. Shocker......because we didn't get shit last year. Real surprise...
Anyone else work at a generous company this Christmas?
Buddy of mine, works at Pratt & Whitney (aircraft engines) got one for a little over 2k few days ago. I hear a lot of companies are cutting them out, changing to performance based bonuses.
My boss gave me a $200 voucher for the OTP.
Sensitive issue. I need to give Christmas bonusses and find it always difficult to decide how much goes to whom.

Golidilocks, economists refer to your current situation as frictional unemployment. Don't worry though....lots of Americans suffer your exact ailment.

Neither are government contractors. I got a watch...which was a step up from last years jacket...or should I say my new cat bed.

That's because members of congress and their benefactors steal that money up front.The government isn't in the habit of giving out bonuses.
The Costa Rica goverment implemented many many years ago a 13th month policy for ALL employees. If you worked a full year with a company you must add up all your monthly checks (12 as max) and then divide them by 12 ... whatever total you get after this ... the company that you work for must compensate you with that cash. So it is a very good gesture from the Goverment enforcing Companies to compensate their employees. Cant argue on that!!
