I have used aol im for years and really like it buddy !

Never a problem, never down, simple to use, personially, I like it a lot better than all the rest and use them all daily.

I thought only kids use it. Sometimes I accidently leave my computer on and my teenager fires it up and loads AOL chat. He has his own computer but he has like a few friends over and they all need their own chats. Anyway, after he loads aol chat I always have a lot of adware and viruses. I hate aol, lost money on the stock, their email bites and they are slow and expensive.

When they call to to sell me on making the switch I listen to their spiel because I'm curious what the pitch could possibly be. (This is probably because I like to debate. I also enjoy telling the touts why their picks are garbage.) Anyways...they usually try to tell me about some content that you can only get on AOL... like the AOL personals. AOL was destined to fail once broadband came with a decent price tag.

As far as chat clients, MSN is nice because you can transfer files by drag n drop.

Just use MSN. Use to use ICQ too, but havent loaded it on my new computer yet. May not.
