    Default Bankroll size question?

When I reload, how much should I reload with? I have tried weekly 100-200 reloads, but that never lasts long. Plus i usually bet it all on one game or win and double up for nite game.

Not great money management, but whats the point of gambling if its only going to be a 20 dollar win or so..bah..

I was thinking if I wait to spring and put in 2 G s or so, that may allow to me to make smarter bets( hundred or 2) on games of better quality...

And with smaller bankrolls, one is more suceptible to longshot parlays and chase bets...

    Thoughts?

If $20 bets bore you, I'd go ahead and make a larger deposit. But before I do that I'd make sure I was capable of controlling myself, what's to stop you from depositing $2k then trying to double that up in one game? That is a dangerous habit...

I only double up, when bankroll balance is small, so I try to get it bigger quickly..

I used to have a grand that i turned into a few thousand, however I made withdrawls to pay for bills...and find I havent been doing as well, since I went away from a larger bankroll.

With a larger bankroll, bets were controlled(for the most part)..

Thats your problem. you arn't controling your bets now and its biting you in the ass. Your prob winning almost as much as before. Its just before you didn't notice your losses. Now your l oosing when you double up so it takes you 2 double ups to get back to where you wanted to be, then you loose it all again. Then it takes more and more to get back up.

controlling your bets is the best thing for your to do right now.

I bet poorly with smaller rolls, take more shots at crazy games and higher odds, parlays, teasers etc...

Im more conservative with higher rolls, and play much fewer games..

Essentially I get bored with small bets, so I dont take them seriously and need to have a worthwhile payoff...however, this kills a small bankroll quickly..

Its largely entertainment for me, I dont fool myself with the notion that it will be a second income. However I was sucessful, while I had a larger bankroll. Paid for some vacations.

    Not the case of late...

    Default I completely agree...

small bankrolls with small payouts... the fun just isn't there. You'll find yourself making stupid bets to build your bankroll quickly.

Bet 2% of your bankroll. For example, if you have $5000 in your account, bet $100. If you have a winning strategy, you will never have to deposit again.

If you don't have a winning strategy, then at least you will go broke at a slower rate, so maybe you can improve in the interim.
