Since we are about ready to end 2007 in a few weeks. I got to thinking what what everyone thought the thread of the year was.

I have to say that the BetEd/SexyGamblerChick dispute had to be by far the best one in 2007.

Which one do you guys feel was the best?

Though I was only here for the last 3 months of the year, I would have to say that the best threads are not the ones that entertain me the most, but the ones that teach me the most. That being said, I can't single out a specific thread, but obviously a lot of the Ganch threads about Kelly criterion and general betting patterns and stakes were my favourite.

I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to advancing general knowledge of the common forum-peruser. Whether it be someone who has pointed out a trend in gambling, a statistical analysis, or an in-depth study of a particular issue, or the Mods and Administrators who keep tabs on current issues surrounding particular books, all of these add a ton to the forum. I hope that 2008 sees a higher percentage of these topics among the posts.

However, I did enjoy JJ's post that included a video calling me out. Can only compare it to Navin Johnson in The Jerk in that I finally felt that I was somebody with JJ mentioning my name.

When I read your title that one immediately came to mind. I agree 100%. Now where did old ziggy get to? I'll bet he was the dude behind the whole saga.

I think the 2nd best is the John Layfield threads telling how he'll educate us and ended up editing most of them to get the incredible record he now has. Amazing!!!!!!. But him coming in patting himself on the back saying someone "changed" his selection is classic. Now apparently the private zone is his private domain..... I say bring back patty and let him have the private zone

Normally my choice of the best thread would be one that makes me laugh the most, but this year there have been some very informative/serious threads that made me make extra money and none that made me laugh.

i don't know when that original BeanTownJim story was posted, the one about his lawn mower being stolen, Raiders posted it a month or so ago. that was a funny read.

They should have different catagories, for like Drama,Action,comedy,etc etc

As far as comedy goes i agree with you louisvillekid, that post was friggon hystericall, a great read , i highly recommend it.
