    Sportsbetting.com users file complaints

SBR Mailbag: Sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-) users file complaints

Three players report being slow-paid by SportsBetting.com with one player reporting waiting since March. "$1,512 has been requested 2-3 times per month, since March of 2007 - nothing but excuses, no payment. My responses are exactly the same each and every time. We will investigate and get back to you. Never." Sportsbetting blames previous service provider, Sportsbook.com (SBR rating D-), which handled payouts until November. Sportsbetting has pursued these matters with their former banking department. Players also complain that the book has not replied to emails, has not had a phone number since November, and LiveChat is often backed up with as many as 20 users in the queue. Two players have recently submitted payment requests under the new system and have offered to allow SBR to monitor the withdrawal process.

Not that I would EVER back this book/group. But I received a 2500 check payout from this skin in about 2 weeks from request last month.

That being said: this group is garbage, should not be trusted, and still owes me a ton.

Thanks GB. If it was in Nov. it was a Sportsbook.com processor check. That is still good news. We wanted to let other readers know what SB players were experiencing since the book went software-only, doing its own CS and processing. They may be right in thinking that having no phone number is better than using the Jazette CS but it's been a rough start on their own. The lingering issues from Jaz do not help.

Why would anyone play with a C, D or F rated sportsbook?

In this case it has a lot to do with slam-dunk marketing with the URL. Sportsbetting.com, a Sportsbook.com and the infamous BetOnSports.com could get players by accident. Thankfully many of the players who do take a hit use SBR and other means to shorten the learning curve for the next guy.

Sportsbetting ultimately has a chance to do very well and grow out of Sportsbook.com. They shouldn't have made this big transition without replacing the Jazette phone number with their own. It's a bad time to lose communication with your players. Here is the latest player report...

Description: No return of emails (three emails sent since last Friday December 8th) regarding the status of my USD $2,000.00 withdrawal request made on December 2nd, after the initial email acknowledging my withdrawal request stated that I would receive another email when my withdrawal had been processed. When I finally talked with a customer service rep (Wednesday December 12th) via their live chat (Their phone system is still (inopt) being upgraded, I was told that their system to access customer accounts was down. Today, (December 13th) when I talked with their customer service via live chat I was told again that their system was down. I then pressed the issue and they quickly changed their tune and told me that their system just came back up and their rep first said that my withdrawal request had been processed on Wednesday December 4th, then quickly advised me that it was processed on Friday December 7th and not December 4th. They also went on to tell me that I 'should' get my funds by December 21st. Might I say that December 21st is (15) fifteen business days since I made my withdrawal request, not their posted promise to pay within 7 to 10 business days. I am sharing my experience with Sportsbetting.com with your site because I just read on your SBR homepage that others were having slow pay or no pay problems with www.sportsbetting.com. Thanks for your time and interest...

Just FYI, my own personal experience has been numerous timely payments over the past few months, about 5 in the 1000-1500 range. A couple within a week.

Its hit or miss with these guys. But when you get a miss, it takes forever for these guys to get it right. If you got a problem there good luck because they dont care.

    UPDATE:

SportsBetting (SBR rating C-) player who has been waiting for $1,510 since March received his check yesterday. Sportsbetting management tells SBR a second slow-paid player has also been sent his payment. SBR is currently monitoring new five-figure withdrawal requests.

I have two pending withdrawls which they claim to have been sent via Fed Ex. They tell me to allow 7-10 business days. Tomorrow marks the 10th business day. Fed Ex doesn't have anything in their system going to my address as of yet. How long is it really taking for their customers to get paid? How about their phone lines. I don't get it?

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum crinkle

Boy, Even after they leave the Jazette support system last month, they are still having some major issues pouring in lately.

If you are in need of some assistance with this problem. Please fill out this complaint form and one of us will inquire to them on your behalf.

Yes, me too but that was when they were on the same system as sportsbook.com. I've received a couple emails and had live chats which I've been told emphatically that Fed Ex has my check and not to worry. "Your money is safe"

Well Fed Ex doesn't have any information and DHL can't research anything in their system without a tracking number.

I'm going to give it one more day and then likely fill out a complaint.

How much pull does SBR have at these books which are having issues?

Well 7-10 business days have elapsed and still no sign of the check. Fed Ex claims to have nothing in their system heading to my address. I've confirmed my address with sportsbetting.com and they continue to insist both checks are in route. I think it's BS. I've requested a tracking number. If no number on Monday I'm filing a complaint.

I wonder if they're waiting for all the cash to come in from their very generous deposit bonus the past 3 days. I hope not because everything has always been good with them. I was a little suprised that they offered this deposit bonus - up to $450 (20%, 15%, 10%, 3 days in a row, max 1000 deposit per day) so quickly after offering the same one just a month ago during Thanksgiving. I tried to respond to your PM , Crinkle but that function was off for you.

I'm not sure how to get the PM working once again. I don't understand what happened.

They continue telling me my money has been sent. I just am to the point which I don't believe them. It doesn't matter if they owe your 5 bucks or 500K. They should be paying in a timely manner and be able to provide tracking info for their shipments.

I'm having the same issues. I requested w/d on 12/2/2007 and am only being told that it has been sent. Yesterday I asked them for a tracking # and was told to get back to them today and I would receive it. I did so, and was told a tracking number wasn't available, but they would find it and email it to me. Obviously crap. I then asked how my funds were sent, and the guy told me US mail. At this point, I am betting that I will never see this w/d. Too bad, I also got quite a bit more in my account I would like to have too. I've used these guys for four years, and have never had issues till the last 30 days. I'm afraid their run of legitimacy is over. I have filed two complaints also.

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum ofrederic

I think you'll get it eventually. I mean usually they say if you don't receive your check in 15 days to contact them. Needless to say it's not out of the ordinary for them to be extremely slow when it comes to paying their clients (hence their SBR rating)

Yup, in fact I told one of their customer service agents to take off his dancing shoes and put on his work boots and find me the tracking number.

I ended the chat by telling him he won't be hearing from me for a few hours as I'm off to church to pray for my money.

I've dealt with these people for quite some time and never had issues. I don't like the situation but I still believe the money will get here but hasn't been sent yet. It doesn't take Fed Ex ten days to deliver packages which originate in the US. Plus, Fed Ex has technology in place to know the where abouts of every package in their system. It's not a coincidence they don't have either of them scheduled for delivery to the address sportsbetting.com confirmed. It's just a bunch of BS. Plus, sportsbetting.com doesn't get back to you right away on email and has no verbal communication up and available. I don't know why they made the switch to a new customer service dept. if the new one wasn't equipped better than the old.

    harsh,

You're not going to see that money for a few weeks. If I haven't received mine which was processed on the 4th you have a long wait. The real kicker is they tell you it's been sent via Fed Ex. No way.

    Good luck

It is what it is. Last summer I waited a month for a check from sportsbook.com's family of books. It's just a nightmare once you have funds in some of these books. I truly don't believe I will get screwed out of the money. I think the books have too much to lose and little to gain by doing so. C'mon they make money.

All I know is I'm not making any more withdrawls until I receive the ones I'm waiting for. The best thing to do might be to bet both sides of the games using two books. Yes, it may cost you some juice but eventually you will get your money to the reliable book. However, you must be careful because I couple of bad breaks and you will have a shitload at sportsbetting.com. I still think we will get paid but it's going to take time and patience.

the chat line is back up.

You're just wasting your time interacting with them more than once a day. I've spent way too much time banging my head against the wall. I'm soon going to file a complain through this site and will see if anything changes. Just don't withdraw any more funds and try betting it off somewhere else.

    Please help.....1 month delay

    All,

I need advice on dealing with these people (Sportsbetting.com). I requested a withdrawal for $1457.81 on 12/2/07. As of today I still have not received the check. My numerous inquiruies by "Live Chat" have yielded no results. I was initially told that the check was mailed out 12/6/07 and should take 7-10 business days. I contacted sportsbetting.com 4 more times requesting information about the delivery...i.e. tracking number? Courier? expected date of delivery? All I was told in Fedex was the courier. I was surprised since my previous $400 w/d was delivered via DHL (received in 2 weeks). The rep also stated that the "withdrawal dept" would email me within 48 hrs with a tracking #. Guess what.... no email. I again "Chatted" and explained that I needed the tracking # and explained that my previous request was not emailed to me. they again said "ok, well emaial it to you within 24 hrs".....guess what.....NOT RECEIVED. Now I find that this is not an asolated issue. What can we expect from these people????? Will we ever see our money??? I trully feel like paying a little visit and expressing my frustration. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum jrojas49

It usually takes roughly up to 15 days to receive payments from this book, and sometimes they exceed that. I mean I don't think anyone here is really surprised by the troubles your having with Sportsbetting.com either. You can always fill out a complaint form and one of us will inquire to them on your behalf.

Ya, I agree with BBDan. They're not really an A+ book. But if u take into consideration that you eventually receive it, and combine that with the convenience of not having to send in any information, I think thats its alright. If you don't mind sending in any information, by all means SWITCH BOOKS NOW.

    Thanks

    BBD,

Thanks a ton for the reasurance. Although, my concern is that they are not willing to provide a tracking number even though they say the check already shipped via Fedex. I contacted Fedex and they told me there were no pending packages in transit to my home.

It looks like you and your team have been able to help out a few folks. I hope that Sportbetting.com makes good on these withdrawals. I suppose all we can do is wait. I went ahead and filed a complaint form and will keep my fingers crossed. I really appreciate what you're doing.

    Thanks,
    JR
