You have the right to be upset, but there are probably better ways to expend your energy than lamenting a coach who is nothing short of a quitter.

Probably, but what does it accomplish? Use it as a learning experience, whenever a Petrino coached team is not doing so well later in the year, you know there's a good chance his heart is not in it..

quit blaming the coach, the team quit a long time ago.

Most of the Atlanta team is garbage, including DeAngelo Hall and other players for having "free Michael Vick" t-shirts on. Great respect they show.

My thoughts exactly, Seattle Slew! Perhaps getting their butts handed to them was some sort kharmic pay back for supporting a piece of scum like Mike Vick.

The situation wasn't what was demonstrated to Patrino when he was lured from college ball. I think the Falcon organization quit long before the coach left them to rot in their own mess.

Mark maybe you can get your bet refunded because of this. Every other reason seems to be working these days...

you have no reason to be upset. you should have taken the Saints and you would not have cared if Bozo the Clown was coaching the Falcons.

I think Petrino likely knew he wasn't going to return next year the day after he found out Vick was not going to be on the team. Sorry, but if you have Joey Harrington as your main QB to start the year, you aren't going to last very long in this league. To be honest, I don't blame Petrino one bit. Being the coach in ATL is probably the worst job in the NFL right now....No QB, no talent, no fan support, etc....
