    NFL Network play-by-play announcer Bryant Gumbel is suffering from a sore throat and will be replaced by Tom Hammond for Thursday's Broncos-Texans broadcast at Reliant Stadium, a network spokesman said Tuesday.

    Hammond is a very underrated announcer. Can handle football, horse racing, just about anything. Will be a big step up.

    I have never seen so many games on tv that mean nothng, I guess just the way it worked out this eyar. I thought they could move games that were more important.

    Only Sunday games can be moved to Sunday night. Thursday, Saturday and Monday games not moveable.
