HH sorry to burst your bubble here ... but ... the term soccer is ONLY used in the US ... everywhere else its known as FUTBOL or FOOTBALL ...

Most boring sport on earth? hummm this game is played in every country known ... and has audiences 100 times bigger than ur Football ...

Just because it is not of your interest I can almost bet you have never seen a World Cup ... and yes the term WORLD cup involves every country that earned its right to be in that specific Cup ... not ur so called WORLD Series that only involves those within your tournaments ... this specifically to those baseball games .....

Oh .. and no I am not against Football at all ... I like the sport ... and yes I believe it is very entertaining to watch ... but believe me ... it is WAY more interesting to watch a soccer game. At least thats my point of view

You can't really compare the two sports. One is based on endurance and finesse, the other one is based on brutal force and body strength.

You will never see an elite college team beat an elite NFL team in football because of size advantage.

However, in soccer a team from a very small country has beat many times soccer powerhouses.

However, I do believe American Football , is a bit like American English , its a dumbed down version of Rugby made simple to understand for a simple audience.

The beautiful game is a complex sport , it does not lend itself to advertising breaks or hot dog and nacho breaks, therefore it will not ever be popular with the fat people who enjoy kick and chase American football.

I think what sums it up for me, I was watching a program about yankball and it involved people sitting outside the stadium with BBQ! I mean, all they were interested in was the food part, not the sport , which is probably why so many are obese.

I have actually oft pondered why the Yanks never invented their own version of soccer.

They took rugby and created dumbed down yank football
They took Cricket and created dumbed down steroidball
Basket Ball was a girls game called netball.

I expect if they created their own soccer , they would have huge goals , no offside rule, no goalkeeper and an advert/junk food break every 20 mins.
